We have just spend 6 nights staying this lovely hotel and I can not rate it highly enough. The staff are delightful - so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast offers lots of choice, catering for all tastes. The hotel is located in an excellent spot - close to the Rue Mouffetard which is full of little bistrots and shops. It close to bus stops and metro stations but is also a pleasant half hour walk to Notre Dame. Merci a tous les personnels a Hotel de l’Espérance. Vous nous a faisez tres bienvenue. On va definitement retourner a Hotel de l’Espérance.

“Good value in a strategic location”

First: Do not confuse this with another Paris hotel of the same name! We stayed in one of their larger rooms for a few nights. First: Do not confuse this with another Paris hotel of the same name! We stayed in one of their larger rooms for a few nights. Reception staff is very helpful for anything you need--we met several of their staff, who work 12-hours shifts from 7 to 7. The room was well appointed and included a Nespresso machine. It used some creative ideas to optimize the use of space, such as a small desk that folded out from the wall. Our view was just the building across the street. The neighborhood is fairly quiet but the soundproofing wasn't enough to block out the occasional loud motorcycle or siren. The curtains did a decent job of blocking morning light but plenty of light leaked in around the edges. A small fridge had a couple of bottles of filtered water for us. The elevator is quirky in that it stops on the landings in between floors. So when you arrive with luggage the best you can do it take the elevator and walk down half a flight to the floor your room is on. We got a room with breakfast included. The breakfast offerings are minimal but adequate if you want to save time. One morning the coffee machine wasn't working, and another day the staff had a hard time keeping up with everything. The vibe had a lot of character, with a few retro items in the lobby like a portable record player. It was an enjoyable stay in a convenient location, and a good value. We would stay there again.
