“Our “home” when in Paris”

This was our 7th time in Paris and our 4th consecutive stay at this hotel. We’ve stayed at other hotels on the right bank but this location, in the 6th on the left bank, across from Luxembourg Park is ideal and “home” for us. We’ve been in 4 different rooms and each room has been comfortable and beautifully decorated with French decor. The marble bathrooms are elegant and well appointed with lovely toiletries. This stay we were introduced to the Nuxe toiletries which we loved. We even purchased our own supply as well as gifts for others to bring home. The hotel sits on the corner of Rue Vaugirard and the historic narrow cobblestone Rue Servandoni. The entrance to Luxembourg Park sits almost directly across the street and Eglise Saint Sulpice is a 5 minute walk down Rue Servandoni. The staff has always been exceptional and we thank Christian, Fanny, Fabian, Louis, and the entire friendly staff for their kind and courteous help. Melvin was also a joy to visit with all the while taking care of everything we needed for a delightful breakfast in the dining area. If you are looking for an authentic Parisian hotel experience we highly recommend Luxembourg Parc. Our plans for future trips will always include returning to this hotel as we have no thoughts of staying anywhere else.

“Pleasant Stay”

A great location near the Luxembourg Gardens. Our superior room was comfortable with a nicely appointed bathroom. Breakfast buffet had variety and was served in a lovely sunny room. A great location near the Luxembourg Gardens. Our superior room was comfortable with a nicely appointed bathroom. Breakfast buffet had variety and was served in a lovely sunny room. Our only issue was the mattress on the bed. it consisted of 2 twin mattress pushed together, which created a large gap and trough in the middle of the bed. This was problematic and hard on our backs as the mattress had a slope to it. We did report this to the front desk and is perhaps just a single issue and not through all the beds in the hotel.

“A short stay in Paris”

This small boutique hotel is conveniently located near Luxembourg Park. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. This small boutique hotel is conveniently located near Luxembourg Park. The hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, they are quiet and clean, allowing for a truly restful night's sleep away from the hustle of the city. The hotel is also just a short walk to the Paris Metro, making it easy to get around."

This is a difficult review to write. The hotel - and most of its staff - are absolutely lovely. One gentlemen, however, who worked the front desk really marred our experience. The hotel has a bar, with a cocktail list. The front desk person must act as bartender, as well as desk-minder. One evening at 5:00, three of us sat down at the bar and ordered cocktails. The gentlemen was noticeably perturbed, clearly not happy that we ordered three different drinks (from the menu). It was a bit odd, particularly since the front desk was not particularly busy.. A few days later, the three of us sat down again at around 5:00. This time, he refused to serve us unless we ordered the exact same drink. It was a bit shocking, but we didn’t say anything and left to find a friendlier bar. Frankly, he made us feel humiliated. This same gentlemen ordered a taxi for us when it was time to head to the airport. There were four of us for the ride, with a lot of luggage; he specifically acknowledged that the taxi would need to be large. The taxi that arrived was not particularly large, and we were crammed in. That wasn’t really the problem, though. The problem is that the taxi driver ripped us off, charging an enormous sum once we arrived (and never turning on his meter). I have no idea if there is a connection, but I would never allow that gentlemen to order a taxi for us again.
