“Amazing all around!”

Staff was amazing- they helped us score a taxi to the airport during a city-wide protest (May 2023) and lugged our absurdly heavy bags up the narrow staircase. The chocolate mousse in the restaurant is amazing! Stayed here twice now.

We really enjoy our stay here. It's a great hotel with very nice rooms and good service. What really makes the difference is the location, within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and many other tourist destinations. It's also well placed to reach various forms of public transportation, so it's extremely convenient. The neighborhood is packed with shops and restaurants, so pretty much everything is at hand. If you're carrying luggage, bear in mind that there are lots of stairs, right off the street entrance (and also some inside the hotel). Also, the street door is a bit hard to open, but you get the hang of it.

My wife and I (and our dog) recently stayed at the Thoumieux Hotel in Paris’s Seventh Arrondissement, and had a very nice experience. From the outset, hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating, to include hauling our luggage up to our room (note: stairs only, no elevator). The room was nicely furnished and comfortable, though you should note that a realtor might call the rooms “cozy.” Not a lot of space to stash thing like your luggage, so my wife used the drawers and I lived out of my suitcase. Breakfast is available on the first floor, and their restaurant is on the ground floor. As noted above, the hotel is pet-friendly, and they thoughtfully brought a dog bed to our room. No extra charge for bringing a pet along, which was nice. The area around the hotel is jam-packed with wonderful boulangeries and a range of restaurants. We sampled several, in addition to the hotel restaurant. Room rates were very reasonable, especially given the location near the Eiffel Tower. I can heartily recommend the Thoumieux Hotel.

Great location and nicely appointed. Decor was something else and unusual which made for a nice change from boring hotel rooms you find in hotel chains. Great location and nicely appointed. Decor was something else and unusual which made for a nice change from boring hotel rooms you find in hotel chains. I’ve not given “five” as there was wear and tear of decor. We were on the top floor which means a lot of stairs. My travelling companion had a knee injury and months prior we had asked for a “ground floor”… at the time we did not know that there were no units on ground floor as all the facilities began on first floor. This did not influence the rating of “four” that I have given.
