Key features of the moderation of reviews

There is an automatic system that detects offensive language, in which case the review will not be published. If an owner reports one of the reviews, the review will be re-evaluated and, if it fails to comply with our content standards, it will be taken down.

Our criteria for collecting guest reviews

After getting home from the trip booked with us, the customer will receive an email asking them to review different aspects of each of the services booked. The system only allows the booking holder to complete this review and only once.

When will my review appear on the website?

Reviews typically take less than 24 hours to appear on our website. The process may take longer if our team of moderators have to examine the review in more detail.

How long will my review stay on the website?

Once it has been published, your review will automatically appear in the summary of reviews and if it is considered a featured review (based on publication date, length and quality of content), the complete review will also appear. Said review will not appear or will disappear from the system if it contains offensive language or if it is reported.

Can I get a reward for my opinion?

No. Reviews written in exchange for personal rewards such as gifts, services, or money will be taken down.

Can a review be edited?

No, once a review has been written, it cannot be edited. If you want it taking down, you can ask to have it deleted and not republished again.

Will my review appear on other websites or publications?

Once published, all or some of the reviews written by our members may be used on some of our partner sites or in promotional material in general.

If I write a review about a service, can the provider contact me about it?

No, as the personal data of the booking holder writing the review will not be shared with any service providers being reviewed. In the featured reviews shown, only the booking holder's first name will appear, meaning that there's no way that the service provider can contact you.

  • The top reviews of Le Bristol Paris - An Oetker Collection Hotel are: Reflecting on our most recent stay at Le Bristol Paris (8 nights over the Christmas holiday), our foremost takeaway is the allure of returning to this singular Parisian palace. Here in the elegant center of Paris at 112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, just a short stroll from the Élysée Palace, we were ideally located for the season's magic. Between the hotel’s sparkling festive decor, world-class dining, and remarkable staff, Le Bristol ensured our ultimate holiday retreat. We can scarcely overstate the sublime pleasure of our celebratory dining in the superlative Three-Star Michelin flagship, Épicure. We note the exceptionally warm welcome we received from the reception and key staff, which was the perfect, uplifting start to our stay. Standing in the hotel’s luxe grand lobby—amid its stunning blend of classical French and art deco features, gleaming chandeliers, monumental tapestries, and jewel-toned fabrics—all travel fatigue simply melted away. Exquisite holiday touches, from magnificent floral arrangements and lighted trees to a spectacular, richly detailed nativity scene, were the icing on the cake. We are true fans of Le Bristol’s elegant guestrooms. Decorated in pastel and neutral hues, they effortlessly mix classic 18th-century style with modern design, sumptuous draperies, and grand lighting fixtures. The ultra-luxe beds and bedding assure a perfect night's sleep, while an abundance of top-tier amenities leaves nothing to be desired. Generous built-in closets provide ample space and include thoughtful extras like valet garment brushes. Rooms also feature premium Nespresso machines, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and a comprehensive entertainment package. The palatial, all-marble bathrooms are stocked with premium French designer toiletries, plush robes, and linens. The shower delivers a wonderfully powerful torrent of water. Throughout our various visits, we have enjoyed beautiful vistas, including the scenic central courtyard (Le Jardin Français), the Eiffel Tower, and front-of-house views over posh Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Housekeeping services—including the afternoon turndown—are impeccably meticulous, with staff precisely refreshing and restocking every item. The consistently pristine level of cleaning remains for us, a meaningful hallmark of this property. The breadth and quality of the cuisine at Le Bristol Paris are simply remarkable, serving as true pillars of its world-class reputation. We can’t imagine a better way to start our day in Paris than the hotel’s world-class breakfast service— with phenomenal in-house-baked pastries & croissants, seasonal fresh fruits, and exquisite à la carte specialties— served in the hotel’s grand, light-filled Épicure dining room, with wonderful views of the adjacent courtyard oasis. Along with superb coffee offerings, we often indulge in the apple and ginger “detox’ beverage for a great A.M uplift. Breakfast may also be taken in the relaxed and plush Café Antonia. Elegant and cozy Café Antonia, just steps from the lobby, is a favorite spot of ours, especially in the late afternoons. Surrounded by relaxed luxury, we often revel in delights like fresh pesto pasta, delectable chicken sandwiches with golden frites, and a crisp Premier Cru Chablis. It is equally exceptional for a more ample lunch meal, with a recent highlight for us being a flawless baked breast of chicken with risotto and morel mushrooms. Additionally, the afternoon tea service—featuring a feast of the hotel’s famous pastries—is a popular event with both hotel guests and discerning locals. We’ve found the cafe to also be an obvious choice for pre-dinner cocktails. The experienced, energetic café staff provides consistently friendly, attentive, and timely service. Reservations are essential for guaranteed seating. During our visit, a member of the gracious guest relations team treated us to a behind-the-scenes tour of Le Bristol’s remarkable Ateliers du Bristol—a series of artisan culinary workshops tucked just below the lobby. These subterranean studios are the beating heart of the hotel's ultra-fresh dining offerings, comprising a raw flour mill, a bakery, a pâtisserie, a fresh pasta lab, and a chocolate factory crafting creations entirely from raw beans. Down here, we also marveled at the bustling florist shop, where in-house designers curate the stunning arrangements that elevate the hotel's guest rooms and public spaces. All of this culinary artistry can be experienced upstairs in the hotel’s exceptional restaurants and Café Antonia, and many of these delicacies are available for purchase at L’Épicerie des Ateliers du Bristol. From personal experience, we highly recommend their famous caramel puff pastry flan; it is like silk for the palate. We learned this pastry is a massive hit with local Parisians, and one bite will reveal its decadent perfection. We never miss the opportunity to dine at the chic, retro-modern brasserie 114 Faubourg. A Michelin-starred gem, it presents an ultra-deluxe style with vibrant hues and a sophisticated, dramatic two-floor grand staircase. Located on a street-level corner of the hotel, it offers lovely views across the Rue du Faubourg through expansive windows. The cuisine here is excellent, featuring a welcome range of finely prepared classics for both lunch and dinner, alongside a wonderful lunchtime prix fixe. Dishes we’ve enjoyed immensely include the whole Landes region free-range chicken (for two), sole “à la plancha” with olive oil and capers, fresh poached oysters, and a perfect veal blanquette. The desserts are uniformly superb, including indelible classics such as the rhum baba, a seductive chocolate soufflé with house-made chocolate ice cream, and the not-to-be-missed bourbon-infused vanilla millefeuille layered with salted butter caramel. Service here is highly attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. Advance reservations essential. It has been a source of wonder for us that we can dress for dinner, step into Le Bristol’s “gilded cage” glass elevator, and in mere moments, stroll into one of Paris’s greatest restaurants: the Three-Star Michelin standout, Épicure. The ambiance is richly elegant and sumptuous, but never stodgy or museum-like. With perfect lighting, stunning flower arrangements, and exquisite decor, it is certainly among the most beautiful dining rooms in the city. Its sightlines include the gorgeous courtyard—Le Jardin Français—and a gleaming, chandelier-lit expanse of the hotel lobby. The virtuoso Executive Chef, Arnaud Faye (among the Meilleur Ouvrier de France), directs the entire culinary operation, and his remarkable cuisine continues to scale new heights between our visits. His tantalizing presentations synchronize beautifully with the ravishing flavors of his dishes. During this winter visit, there was not a missed note or off-key moment. His service team—a group of young, energetic, and skilled professionals—executes their orchestration flawlessly, remaining congenial and good-humored. Épicure may be a temple of gastronomy, but it is no cloistered house of worship. We always have fun in this restaurant while savoring some of the finest food on the Continent. Reservations should be booked at the earliest convenience—ideally with room reservations. Another great feature that is quintessentially Le Bristol is the hotel’s 6th-floor nautically-themed swimming pool. Designed to evoke a classic 1920s yacht, it features a dramatic trompe l’œil mural depicting a passengers’ promenade with a view of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc (legendary sister property of Le Bristol) on the Cap d’Antibes. Surrounding the water is a teak wood “ship’s deck,” complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive city rooftop views. There’s an outdoor deck for lounging in favorable weather, and just steps away from the pool, you will find a relaxing sauna and well-appointed shower facilities. The group of superb concierge professionals have always come through for us with aplomb, whatever the hour. They’ve deftly organized and confirmed dining reservations, procured hard-to-get event tickets, offered myriad invaluable tips, and assisted with securing a private car. We have witnessed their ability to pull a rabbit out of a hat, as in this visit, they were relentless in securing seats for us in a sold out restaurant. The concierge desk is a busy spot, but the team is well-staffed, minimizing any wait for service. Returning for our third extended stay within a year, we finally had a breakthrough moment with Le Bristol Paris’s resident celebrity, Socrates. The regally aloof cat lives by a philosophy of minimal contact, but he finally deigned to grant us a modicum of recognition—a milestone to remember. On the other end of the interactive spectrum is the property's resident genie, Head of Guest Relations Jean-Marie Burlet. Unfailingly suave and sunny, he radiates infectious bonhomie throughout the guest areas of the hotel. The 'secret sauce' here is an uncompromising level of personalized service fueled by a remarkably high staff-to-guest ratio. This doesn't happen in a vacuum. At the top of the pyramid is a culture of brilliant management that recruits, trains, and retains the very best—who execute each and every day. An uncommon courtesy that lingers in the mind—among the core values in this most hospitable of places—is the practice of all staff members, even including security personnel, to offer, on sight, a polite greeting. And doormen, upon every approach to the front entrance, are ready with a “hello” or “welcome back.” We greatly appreciate the fine professionals on the executive side who graciously provided wonderful timely communication, facilitated our reservations, and by way of personal greetings, lovely cards, notes, and flow of delicious holiday surprises and treats, ensured for us yet another thoroughly memorable visit (Thank you, Stéphanie N. and Rocio). Pour l’art de vivre ⏹.
