“Great stay”

Convenient location to see all of Paris. Several Metro stations are within 5-10 minutes. Super friendly staff. Loved the patio area

We travelled to Paris by Eurostar and got the hotel within 10 minutes by taxi but it's also a short walk from Gare du Nord if the weather is pleasant. The hotel is in a lively area but on a small quiet street within it so whilst you're in a great central location, you don't necessarily feel it which is nice. We were welcomed by friendly staff who promptly checked us in. I had requested a room on a high floor and mentioned that my father needed to be near a lift due to his walking difficulties and the hotel nailed both requests. We were given rooms on the top floor and my parents were given a fully accessible room which was huge and a nice touch considering we hadn't specifically booked it. My room was not accessible (I didn't need one so that was fine) but was still a very generous size by Paris standards. Both rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The walk in shower was great with fantastic pressure and the bed was really comfortable. The room had all the amenities you'd expect such as a coffee machine, safe, hairdryer and possibly the best steamer I've ever used. The communal areas are very laid back and there's a good bar serving drinks until around 10pm. The WiFi throughout the hotel worked perfectly and was a good speed. My only minor issue with the hotel was that the room was a little too hot and even putting the heating system on the coolest setting didn't bring it down enough as it was being centrally controlled. It didn't spoil my stay but it would've been nice to be able to control the settings myself. Location is perfect - there are two metro stations within easy walking distance and it's just a 10-minute walk to République. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

“Average service”

We stayed at Le Grand Quartier for 2 nights. Check in done by Aly was smooth. We appreciate the early check in. Aly was helpful in giving us easy directions to Eifel Tower that was great. We stayed at Le Grand Quartier for 2 nights. Check in done by Aly was smooth. We appreciate the early check in. Aly was helpful in giving us easy directions to Eifel Tower that was great. Breakfast service average. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant during our stay. Both average Hamburger very under cooked for lunch. Meat was pink. We did not enjoy at all. On questioning the waiter why it was pink he said that is how they eat in France but in request they could have given a well done Hamburger. Have we been advised on this We would have requested a well done Hamburger. Dinner we ordered 2 chicken dishes which were good but no bread was served. On questioning the waiter we were told that's how they eat in France without bread. Only on request they give bread. This is absolutely ridiculous. Room was good by European standard. Clean room.

Picked for the 24/7 fitness center and central location nothing is "lacking," but save for "vibe" nothing really sets it apart from a Holiday Inn or Best Western.
