“Excellent Hotel!!”

My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10) traveled to Europe for the first time, and this was the best hotel experience we had during our three-week trip. We stayed in six hotels total, and this one stood out above the rest. We stayed in the Junior Suite and were so grateful to find a place in Paris that could accommodate all four of us in one room. Our room had air conditioning, which was by far the biggest perk since we were visiting during a heat wave. The room was clean, housekeeping serviced it daily, and the beds were very comfortable (a queen bed plus a sofa bed for our kids). There was also a small bar/eating area, which was great because we ate several meals in the room. A Franprix grocery store and a self-service laundromat (Julice Laverie) were both about a six-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient. The mini refrigerator in the room was also a nice bonus. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel during our stay, so I can't comment on that. The only minor downside was the elevator—it was very small and could only fit two adults at a time, so if you're traveling with luggage, you may need to make a few trips.

This is a beautiful, reasonably priced boutique hotel in the perfect location, in one of the world's truly great cities. Being 100m from both the Metro and the RER was also great. There are 100 good places to eat within walking distance. The room was beautiful, surprisingly spacious and had an incredible bathroom. The staff were terrific. We arrived 4 hours early and one room was already ready. Everything worked well. The Latin quarter is fantastic!

Residence Des Artes Paris 3* Pros • Great Location !! * Comfy bed • Decent bathroom • Recently renovated room - rest in progress • Nice linen , better than typical 3 * ( suspect post Reno they maybe looking at 4* ) • Good Breakfast • Friendly and helpful staff * Quiet Location despite being in the heart of busy St Germain • At €75.00 the Hotels Private transfer to CDG was competitive and not much dearer than an Uber / Bolt Cons Due to renovations I experienced respiratory issues during our stay as did our friends, In Total we had 3 rooms booked. Frankly they should not have been open. Due to the renovations the tradesmen were in / out in a confined space and amongst guests trying to enjoy breakfast. Everything and I mean everywhere was absolutely covered in dust from the sanding of old paint ( possibly lead based ) Our Room / Dining area stair wells Whilst there was a lift it was somewhat fascinating and probs due to the a 400 year old building never really designed to accommodate a lift it measured approx. 600 x 1200 and not suitable for any one of a larger frame or claustrophobic . Due to renovations the somewhat narrow stairs were not accessible. Hotel would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Safe didn’t work and took 2 days of several attempts to remedy. > Air con didn’t work > Heated floors didn’t work ( Brand new ) > Heated towel rail didn’t work ( Brand new ) > Power went out completely on one morning > Value for money proposition is difficult to gauge having not stayed in Paris previously During our stay Booking.com was advertising prices of €125 euro / night ( no breakfast or city tax ) which were half what we paid (€256.00 ) . approx. $500.00 aud+ is extraordinary for us Aussies for 3* however some of Europe is very expensive. Misc. The premises has 2 hotels opposite each other which share Reception and Breakfast dining , staff are very friendly and helpful. They also own a Brasserie about 20 metres away. Would I stay again Most likely yes ( given it won’t be under renovation forever and most issues were related to that ) I will however research alternate options and personal referrals just for comparison.
