“Good location, very helpul staff”

Firest class location, very friendly and helpful staff. Room had air conditioning which was a godsend this week. Only downside is the room was tiny - there again you get what you pay for

The Welcome Hotel has a lot going for it. The location on Boulevard Saint-Germain is simply excellent — you are steps from some of the best cafés, restaurants, and walking in Paris, and the neighborhood itself is a pleasure to come home to each evening. The staff, from reception to housekeeping, were consistently warm, professional, and genuinely accommodating throughout our six-night stay. The hotel has real Parisian charm that you won’t find in a chain property. That said, future travelers should choose their room carefully. We paid a premium for La Parisienne, described as a larger room on the 6th floor. What the website photos don’t adequately convey is that the slanted ceilings, posts, and exposed beams — while atmospheric — render a significant portion of the room genuinely unusable. If you are of average height or taller, plan on bumping your head repeatedly. The usable floor space is considerably less than the listed square footage suggests. The photos on the website are flattering but not representative of the practical reality. We would recommend requesting a Superior room on a lower floor where the full space is actually livable. One more practical note — skip the hotel breakfast at €30 per person. Saint-Germain has outstanding cafés and boulangeries within a two minute walk in every direction, and a far better breakfast experience awaits you outside the front door for a fraction of the price. Would we stay here again? Probably yes — with a different room. The location and staff are genuinely hard to beat in this price range.
