This is more of what I would consider a Motel - its very conveniently located (for car drivers) along side a busy road - which I couldnt actually hear from inside luckily. However, I was arriving into Provins by train, the road was not suitable for walking along, my Google Maps took me there via what I would call a country footpath, which was a little overgrown. I was surprised to see security fencing and gate to negotiate in order to enter the hotel, not sure what the guests are being kept safe from as Provins seemed quite safe! I was given a room very close to reception, so was expecting to be bothered by noise - I always seem to get furniture dragging Irish dancers in the room above me at hotels. So, I always come prepared with ear-plugs. I was happy to have them in this instance. The room was a bit tired, cracks in the desk, unsure if carpet was stained or had an avantguard pattern, but the bed & bathroom were clean. Could only find one plug socket, the one that had the tv plugged in. Be warned if you have mutliple items to charge! The lady on reception spoke slightly more English than I spoke French, we muddled along and got the job done. The guys at breakfast in the morning were very friendly, and the food was very nice. It is technically within walking distance of Provins, but I wouldve at least liked a vending machine here, as if it was dark I certainly wouldnt fancy the walk to the closest shops. Drinks/snacks and a few essentials would be nice. There was one on the Ibis Bercy, right in the centre of Paris, and it just saved traipsing around outside of the hotel. As a lone female traveller this sort of thoughtfulness in a hotel is very much appreciated.an idea for consideration! All in all this is fine for short stays. Its not a long walk into beautiful Provins.

“Tiny and cozy”

Great option for 1 night on the road. Great breakfast and comfortable beds. But really small room, maximum 2 nights or it gets really tight, especially with kids and even worst if it rains! Nice village to wonder around and eat really nice

We stayed as a group for 3 nights at this rudimentary hotel.My main negative criticism related to the flimsy construction and cursory sound proofing.Staying on the ground floor, we were really bothered by guests above walking about,opening and shutting doors. The bed was comfortable enough,but sleep alluded me the first night as I endured the elephant herd trampling endlessly! Another complaint would be the lack of possibility to regulate the heating.It was somewhat chilly.A minor point was a lack of English language television. On the positive side the breakfast was surprisingly good,especially the coffee. Also the staff,albeit only French speaking, were quite friendly and helpful.The biggest plus is that the hotel is "safely" placed in its own grounds and a very easy stroll into the very attractive and interesting old town.
