I had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Place Rouen for nearly a month, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I travel frequently for both work and leisure and stay in hotels around the world, so I've experienced every level of hospitality. Without question, Hyatt Place Rouen stands out as one of the hotels with the very best service I have ever experienced. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable, and well-maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, well-designed, and very quiet. Since I was working remotely during my stay, having such a peaceful environment was very important to me. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its people. Every interaction I had with the team was warm, genuine, and professional. They consistently went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and after only a few days they remembered me and always greeted me with a smile. Their kindness and genuine hospitality transformed what could have been just another hotel stay into an experience that truly felt like a home away from home. The restaurant was another highlight. The breakfast offered an excellent selection each morning, and I also enjoyed several dinners there during my stay. The quality of the food and the consistently attentive service made dining at the hotel a pleasure. As well, I had the opportunity to use the spa, which was a wonderful place to relax. The location is another major advantage. It's within easy walking distance of Rouen's historic center while remaining in a peaceful setting, making it easy to explore the city and then return to a relaxing hotel. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hyatt Place Rouen to anyone visiting Normandy, and I already look forward to my next stay.

“Hyatt Rouen, a good stopover”

The hotel is well located. If you are up to it, it is a 20 minutes walk to the centre downhill. Remember you have to come back but it is gentle. The hotel is well located. If you are up to it, it is a 20 minutes walk to the centre downhill. Remember you have to come back but it is gentle. The hotel is very modern with a nice bar area and bar food available alongside the restaurant. Our room was excellent, quiet and with good quality bed linen. Two small observations. My wife went to the Spa to see if any spa treatments were available. The spa was closed and a heads up at reception would have been useful. Minor point. A more general one for me as a non smoker, the outside area next to the restaurant was a smoking area. Therefore the smoke drifted to the restaurant and bar and stopped us from enjoying the evening sun. A common fate of the non smoker. However as a stop off on a longer trip we would use the hotel again.

Just stayed one night but appreciated the “cathedral view” from our room, the air conditioning, the king bed, and the well-appointed bathroom. American-style hotel feel even in an historic building. Some distance uphill from the old city centre and train station. We took an Uber from/to the train station rather than roll our bags up the uneven pavement. Breakfast buffet on the terrace a nice experience.
