“Perfect for a couple of days”

Its was a good size with all that you can need for a stay. It has a microwave, cafe (paid) and breakfast however it doesnt have a great variaty but it is correct. free parking and supermarkets in the nearby

I felt slightly cheated when I arrived as the hotel was not the distance from the centre that the ALL.com website said. I expressed this to the lady receptionist/manager. Her attitude was dismissive and snooty. She proceeded to check me in. Told me which room number, gave me the code etc. I procee… more

I felt slightly cheated when I arrived as the hotel was not the distance from the centre that the ALL.com website said. I expressed this to the lady receptionist/manager. Her attitude was dismissive and snooty. She proceeded to check me in. Told me which room number, gave me the code etc. I proceeded to use the code to go into the NEXT DOOR room ( she maintained she'd said the correct number, I maintain she'd forgotten the last digit!) I went up and left the dog in the room then went out to the car to collect some stuff and came back in to find a gentleman at reception saying he'd opened my door and been greeted by my dog! Confusion ensued. How had I been able to open the wrong door with the wrong code? How, presumably with a different code had he been then able to open the same door? All dealt with very sniffily by the rather unpleasant lady. She maintained the explanation was that the door hadn't been properly closed by the maids BEFORE I arrived. Rubbish. I needed the code she gave me (seemingly for another room?!) and it had worked. The door was NOT ajar when I went up. She REALLY let the IBIS side down. ALL staff over 5 different nights in 5 different cities on this trip at Ibis were EXCEEDINGLY pleasant and helpful - apologising readily, in one case, when I discovered there were no towels in my room etc. I used the breakfast buffets and paid the supplement at all but this hotel. I decided I wasn't giving this lady my extra 8,50 given her attitude. The room was fine. I drove easily into the city centre. It was the distance (=/- 3km) she maintained and not the one on the website/booking.com app etc. Hotel, physically, fine. Service/attitude, poor/appalling.
