“Nice but noisy . Very French”

We arrived late due to missing train and was put on another train. The reception was so nice on the night we arrived nearly midnight. The other lady said 15 minutes walked from station. We arrived late due to missing train and was put on another train. The reception was so nice on the night we arrived nearly midnight. The other lady said 15 minutes walked from station. We couldn’t find the place so we asked Ibis hotel and told us to get back to the station .Dragging our belongings again being so tired , we get back to the station. Of course there’s no taxi as the train left. I ask the hotel wether he could call a taxi for us and he did. The hotel apartment was big . But with a big room and small side table and the big although double make it smaller. I like the small kitchen with microwave and small two ring hobs which mean we can cook. There’s also little fridge. You have to press the cabinet to open rather than pulling .As in any country in Europe eating out is expensive so I bought packets of soup, coffee and instant milk plus sardines and our own pockets of noodles. There’s a mini market about ten minute walk and you can buy milk , bread, cheese and basic essentials. As we’re on the budget I cooked our own breakfast with ham boiled or fried egg in olive oil and fruits . The average continental breakfast in this hotel is 7euros. They also do dinner which pre book. The amount of restaurants in Lourdes means you can eat anywhere and dine . The apartment don’t clean the room everyday. They are willing to give you you’re need , just ask the reception, I don’t like the way when I complained the noise from the group next door as like they dragging the furniture. I was told to knock them and tell them to lower the noise. It should been the apartment to tell them as I am too a customer. Tha apartment is opposite petit Lourdes which must see as there is replica of Lourdes in miniature version. The room we ave had a good aircon , good hot water for showering and washing . There are few places points for charging your phone. Make sure bring French adopter plug or travel plug. There’s decent two saucepan and some cutleries and knife and saucepan . Bring your own can opener or bottle opener or they will lend you from restaurant , Another thing is their lack of knowledge on tour so if you want to book tour go to the gate of Lourdes and there are two sheds that booking the tour , there’s tour operator on the other side but they only cater for group.the pyraness and the Betharramm cave is nice to see if you’re staying in Lourdes for a while. There’s a television mostly in French and when we switch on English Channel it comes up porno which we find strange in this holy town. I don’t understand that they couldn’t tell people to lower their noise as they like doing carpentry at night . If not for noise we could have a relaxing time.theres shampoo and washing up liquid provided.

Very nice apartment and it met our expectations during our stay. It was close to the church so saved us the spending on travelling. Food was ok and the staff was helpful. Couldn't open the curtains because our room was facing other apartments. Unforgettable event during our stay as we were trapped in the hotel elevator for almost 45min.
