How fortunate we are to have found this wonderful, quirky, boutique hotel. Centrally located, and on a quiet street, this hotel offers easy access to cafes, shopping, and historic sites, without the need for a car, metro or bus. How fortunate we are to have found this wonderful, quirky, boutique hotel. Centrally located, and on a quiet street, this hotel offers easy access to cafes, shopping, and historic sites, without the need for a car, metro or bus. It’s also a perfect home base for those who plan to day trip. Our room was spacious, comfortable and meticulously clean, and did have a mini fridge. One should be warned however, that if you have mobility issues, this may not be ideal. As in many old hotels, there isn’t an elevator and there is quite a flight of steps. Also, while the hotel validates your parking ticket, the parking is a good 10 minutes away, and requires hauling luggage uphill ( for the most part). However, even as a couple in our 60’s, this didn’t pose a problem. I hope to visit again!

“A great option when visiting Nimes.”

I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the centre. You could not get much more central. If I leaned out the window I could see the arena and it was a minutes walk away! I booked this hotel due to its proximity to the centre. You could not get much more central. If I leaned out the window I could see the arena and it was a minutes walk away! Yes there's some noise from the pedestrian traffic after dining out but I did not find it kept me awake. The room was spacious and in reasonable condition. The shower had good water pressure. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

“Good comfortable experience”

Enjoyed our week's stay. Manager very kindly changed our top floor room to a first floor one (thank you so much!) after my wife hurt her foot sightseeing (too many stairs!). Clean, comfortable, nice bed linen. Within easy walking of the station, and right in the heart of the city. Reasonable rates.… more

Enjoyed our week's stay. Manager very kindly changed our top floor room to a first floor one (thank you so much!) after my wife hurt her foot sightseeing (too many stairs!). Clean, comfortable, nice bed linen. Within easy walking of the station, and right in the heart of the city. Reasonable rates. Can be noisy, especially if there is a pop concert in the arena, but what does one expect in a busy city?! Did not bother us.

We enjoyed our 5-night stay in Nimes. However, I would summarise this hotel in the phrase “shabby-chic” … with an emphasis perhaps more on the former than the latter. It’s in a great location, and an easy walk from the train station. Our double room was generously sized, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had anticipated possible problems with noise, but that never materialised (but it may be different when there are events in the adjacent amphitheatre). Yes, we could hear people drinking and chatting in nearby pubs and restaurants in the evening, but the noise – such as it was – died down quite quickly after about 2200. We didn’t have any breakfasts, so can’t comment on that aspect. On the downside, there was what I would classify as a lack of attention to detail. When we arrived, there were no sachets of coffee waiting for us in our room – a little tin set aside for that purpose had just one tea bag in it. When I went downstairs to get some, the person at the Reception Desk asked how many sachets I wanted (I decided on four – two for that evening and two for the following morning) and she carefully counted four out for me. Mmmmm … Further … although the shower had a full container of shower gel fixed to the wall, not a single bar of hand soap had been provided in the bathroom. Again, one – just one – small bar was happily provided upon request. (Mmmm … for a 5-night stay with two people, two bars would have been more appropriate). Further …. the following morning, we left our soggy bath towels in the sink for replacement (as so instructed by a sticker on the bathroom mirror) but – when we returned later that afternoon – the towels were still where we’d left them. New ones had not been provided. So … back down to Reception to request new towels, which (again) were cheerily provided … and they were so provided on each subsequent day. But the bathroom sink was not regularly cleaned (and no further soap was provided …). And the toilet bowl was probably in need of a deep clean as well. And no more coffee sachets appeared in our tin either (luckily, we had some spare ones of our own). In summary, then … a bit more attention to detail is required here.
