“Good stay close to St. Lary-Soulan”

stayed there for two nights with haute route organization I stayed solo but the room was big enough for at least three people with small kitchen and living room. Used laundry machine located outside. I enjoyed my lovely stay.

Stayed here mid-late August for a mix of relaxation and summer mountain sports for the family. The location is lovely - 10 mins walk outside of Saint Lary - far enough to be away from town, close enough to walk in for a meal or an ice cream or whatever else. The residence itself has a pleasant character. The pool area wont win too many awards for its beauty but its a good size with space for chairs to the side and fine for the kids to play in for an hour or two while the adults relax. It can be a little cold if the weather is not so sunny, which can happen in the mountains, but that didnt stop my children. The staff are really nice. Very helpful. Some speak excellent English, which is not a given in this part of France. Our apartment was a good size and clean. We did find a sock on the bunk beds during our stay which was not our own, but the default cleaning policy for these apartments is that you clean them yourself when you leave, so perhaps it says more about the previous occupants than the cleaning staff of the hotel. The beds were rather hard, and the sofa rather small for a family of 4 (just a 2 person sofa bed), but I think these apartments are intended primarily for ski groups who spend all day out on the slopes, so perhaps not surprising. The place isnt perfect, but it was fine for us and the foundation of a great holiday.

The apartment we had (No 1) was ok for 2 or 3 people but it could take as many as 6 which would be very tight as there is not much space and only 1 bedroom. We stayed here for a few nights as part of a longer holiday. It's well priced for a summer stay. The apartment we had (No 1) was ok for 2 or 3 people but it could take as many as 6 which would be very tight as there is not much space and only 1 bedroom. There is a set of bunk beds in the hallway. The apartment we had, had some sort of damp or plumbing problem as there was a constant stink from the place unless you kept a couple of windows open, which is ok in the summer but wouldn't be nice in the winter. Being a self catering place in France it is a very basic set up, you change your own bedding and towels etc, no cleaning service and basic furniture. Location wise the complex is in a good spot, you are located just out of town but you can walk into the main streets in 10 mins, There is ample parking also (in the summer).

The accommodation was very clean and typically sparse but ok for a week,one gripe was no British TV at tall,no fear I hear you cry the internet well that was shocking,clearly throttled and off course IP address issues in no bbc itv etc. One small cafe and I mean small,short walk into main village however you need to speak French otherwise forget it,all menu's in French and first and last night we found out if you haven't booked in all of town you ain't eating not even the take away. In short I won't be going back,due to my lack of French but if you do speak it you will enjo it.
