Lovely little hotel in a quiet street in Souillac. great location as close to the centre of old Souillac for bars and restaurants and also 15 min walk to a supermarket and the Dordyne river. We stayed for 6 nights during the recent heat wave with temperatures mid to high 30's. The room air on was excellent, being both quiet and effective. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The buffet breakfast (€12) was excellent and this is just as well as there are very few places to eat elsewhere. Staff were friendly. We parked in a little car park opposite the hotel or on the road outside. We had a room facing the pool which was quiet but as he had a heatwave it was too hot to sit on the balcony in the afternoon as it was in full sun.

Excellent little hotel linked to the hotel Auberge next door. Clean spacious room with a bath and shower. Comfortable bed. Small soaps provide and tiny bottles of liquid soap. Bring your own supplies if you require something special. Clean fresh sheets and towels every day. No AC but it’s safe to leave your balcony door open. There is an electric fan but in the severe heat you need air. A large swimming pool to the rear. Sun beds are available. We used their towels easily dried on a sunny balcony. Substantial breakfasts available. 20 walking minutes from the station but pre arranged Taxi takes 5min. The main reception is in the hotel next door. That has an outstanding restaurant. Used it 3 times in 5 nights. Great food. Authentic selection. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. As we are on an early train when we leave I’ve arranged a picnic box to see us through our train travel to Paris. 6star staff attitude. Well done everyone. Reasonable priced. A great find.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this hotel, but to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The hotel to look at is nothing amazing, but the manager, the location and the feeling you get when you stay here are all superb. My room wasn’t particularly large, but the bed was comfy, it had everything I needed and it was spotless. The hotel has a small bar with a few drinks, however if quiet the manager will happily get what you want from the bar next door for you. The pool is a nice addition and I enjoyed lying on a sunbed here and relaxing. I was staying on a half board option. The food I had for dinner was some of the best I have ever tasted. Everything is beautifully presented and the staff are exceptional. I hope to return soon as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

“Our room was not great. Very noisy. But the pool was great and most welcome.”

We were unfortunate to get a room facing the street, so late night traffic sounds were a proplem. The hotel has a small sports bar at ground level so we were able to watch the football whist having drinks there. The place was well located for the commencement of our cycling tour of the Dordogne.
