Very seldom do you find everything you wish for in the one place : Le Relais de Farrou was a piece of Heaven for us, as we were looking for peace, quietness, a touch of luxury and good food. The welcome by Jonathan was second to none, such a young professional, discreet but available, always polite and smiling and such a gentleman.The first impression of the hotel was through his lovely welcome and it went from great to fantastic from there...We had treated ourselves to the room with a balcony and it was a true privilege to spend 4 nights here. We didn't try the breakfast as my husband preferred his long lie-ins while I enjoyed the pool as soon as I woke up, perfect pool with a lovely terrace, shower and comfy seats, sunny and surrounded by flowers and so many trees we thought we were in the forrest, not alongside a main road! We tried the restaurant once, it was very busy but delicious with a woww presentation in the plates, we were served by Damien who deserves a special mention for his gentleness and improving his english making lots of efforts to speak with my husband (Irish) Damien, you're a natural, keep working hard, you really are a gem of a waiter. The blonde Lady owner at the reception was very busy all hours in the days and nights but always took time to chat with us. Overall, I wouldn't change one thing, this is Hotellerie the way it should be, where you are not only a room number or a cash machine but really truly a guest. We felt like King & Queen of the castle during those few otherwise stressful days when my Dad was in hospital. We can only recommend the place and wish to come back. Thank you Relais de Farrou for being so traditionnally welcoming and professionals.

“Five days based in Albi”

This is a pleasant hotel. It's two miles from the very attractive town Villefranche. The hotel staff are friendly and jolly. The rooms are clean and adequate with good air-conditioning. This is a pleasant hotel. It's two miles from the very attractive town Villefranche. The hotel staff are friendly and jolly. The rooms are clean and adequate with good air-conditioning. There is a very pleasant pool and patio area. The sun is in the pool area from 10am until dusk. My only complaint is that the rooms lack a fridge. Apparently Le Relais means truck-stop! As a photo in the hotel shows, the building is very old. Presumably it was once a stop-over for travellers. But truck-stop it is not! The hotel also has tennis, crazy gold and bikes for hire.

“Too expensive for what it offers”

Rooms are spacious and clean but lack any character, also pretty noisy being on a main road. Breakfast not included which added to the room rate making it a rather expensive stay . Definitely not a place that will remain in memory.

“Overpriced”

We stayed here for one night and opted for a ‘luxury double’ in order to get a slightly larger bed. Standard room was £85 luxury room £155 through booking agent. We stayed here for one night and opted for a ‘luxury double’ in order to get a slightly larger bed. Standard room was £85 luxury room £155 through booking agent. With such a price difference we had a certain amount of expectation after all £155 (€175) is not cheap for a one night stay. The whole experience was a little strange - no one on reception on arrival although someone ( manager I think) on phone in back office who was aware we were there yet continued on the phone for a good 4-5 minutes - great start!! I’ve worked in customer service all my life including hotel reception and the golden rule is acknowledge people on their arrival !! Obviously same rules don’t apply here. The room was far from luxurious - decent sized bed which you could just about walk around, decent bathroom and the tiniest balcony in the world. The most strange element to me was the lack of facilities - there was a coffee maker yet no cups or spoons !! Why provide a coffee maker without the tools to utilise. Towels in bathroom but no bath towels small towels only. For the price we paid for just a room (no breakfast included) we felt totally ripped off. On a positive note bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water.
