Stayed here a couple of nights and found it to be a good but fairly sterile option. The hotel is in the centre a few minutes walk from main square, sights etc. Checkin was fast and room was large with very comfortable bed. I found the hotel pretty dead and reception barely even acknowledged you coming in/ out all a bit sterile but a good central option

“Good Enough”

I only stayed a single night in Cayenne and this hotel was good enough. It depends on what you want. The man at reception spoke reasonable English and was quite charming. The lobby had comfortable seating and a bar that oddly had no wine but had very well priced spirits. The hallway to my room look… more

I only stayed a single night in Cayenne and this hotel was good enough. It depends on what you want. The man at reception spoke reasonable English and was quite charming. The lobby had comfortable seating and a bar that oddly had no wine but had very well priced spirits. The hallway to my room looked very institutional but the room itself was fine. It was on the small side but adequate with a very comfortable queen size bed. The A/C worked well even in the steamy Cayenne climate and there was a fridge and kettle. The bathroom was pretty standard with good water pressure. There was a small balcony that was a bit crowded with a big air conditional compressor but still had room to sit watching the street life. The street was closed up for the night but a bit noisy with roaming traffic. Anyone who doesn’t like a bit of street noise should ask for a room at the back. A good breakfast including excellent fresh croissants was included with the tariff. I would be quite happy to return to the Central Hotel if back in Cayenne.

“Best Location”

You are within waking distance of the center of town, and many restaurants and shops of many kinds are nearby. The amenities of the hotel are bare, but you really don't need extras with so many businesses so nearby.

The location is decent, not great. The rooms are small but adequate. There is supposedly a bar, but it wasn't staffed. And the "restaurant" is ONLY open for breakfast. But breakfast was quite good -- a nice selection of fruit and fantastically fresh croissants. Also cereals, yogurt, and more. Acro… more

The location is decent, not great. The rooms are small but adequate. There is supposedly a bar, but it wasn't staffed. And the "restaurant" is ONLY open for breakfast. But breakfast was quite good -- a nice selection of fruit and fantastically fresh croissants. Also cereals, yogurt, and more. Across the street is the closest restaurant "La Taverna" and it was unacceptable (sat down and reviewed the menu then walked out). Not a lot of other options within close walking distance. Options available with a little further walk. But there is at least one decent size mini market nearby where you can pick up "picnic" items, including beer and wine. Not a bad stop for 1 night.
