“Convenient”

Stopped here for one night. Price includes access to the amazing Thermal baths nextdoor. Large room (33) small fridge was helpful. Clean and bathroom has a bath. Buffet Breakfast includes scrambled and boiled eggs. Friendly helpful staff.

“Just good”

The rooms were very nice and the beds were super comfortable. We had free access to the pools and sauna’s after paying 2.50 tax for that. It was very nice and we enjoyed it. The location isn’t the best but the breakfast was very delightful.

I stayed in this hotel in May 2017 for 8 nights. I had contacted ahead to ensure my room would be available in the morning and it was (which doesn't always happen in hotels!) so that was a great start. Lovely greeting from reception and then to the room. Very spacious room with a lovely balcony, also had a fridge which was handy. Nice clean bathroom, free wi-fi and TV (didn't watch so not sure what channels there were) Throughout my stay the staff were very helpful and did my laundry for me a few times with super fast turnaround. I ate in the restaurant there 2 times and thoroughly enjoyed it - there is a particularly good trout and salmon tartare and the Chef always provides a small taster dish for free. For a main I had a traditional "Rosti" with fried porksteak, onions and egg - real good hearty fare, not delicate at all but good robust eating! Breakfast was continental with a decent selection of meats and cheeses and on a Sunday there is a brunch in the nearby spa which costs a little bit extra but had a selection of hot food as well. The only issue I had was that the hotel is a little bit out of the way - I don't drive so had to walk several km every day to get to work. Even so, if I am in the area again, I will probably stay here again - loved my little balcony!

So my first impression of the hotel was not the best one: - Reception closes at 5. Afterwards one can pick up the key at the restaurant, but I do not know how good they are at answering questions (and usually, when I arrive at the hotel, I have quite a few organisational questions) - I had to leave very early next morning and told the lady at the reception so, and she then told me that I would then miss breakfast (I had to leave at 7.15 and breakfast on the weekend starts at 8). When I came to my room I found a note stating that I could reserve a breakfast box if I had to leave early. Why this was not told directly when I checked in (especially since I had said that i would leave early), I have no clue. - there were no towels in my room. - the In-Room-TV states that they have Sky, but whenever I switched to Sky the system told me that the reception was encrypted. The room itself was o.k. nothing to write home about, but acceptable; So why do I give good marks to this hotel, I hear you ask: Because of the great staff. When I had my dinner at the associated restaurant, I had a very helpful lady from Romania serving my table. I complained about the towels and within 3 minutes she brought me the towels. On the next morning she was just preparing breakfast for the other guests and when I wanted to leave, she organised a small bag for me, allowed me to take some breakfast along, allowed me to have a coffee even though it was not breakfast time yet - this lady really spells service with a capital S. The hotel should be very happy with such staff. Just around the corner is the Therme where one can go for free, but please do not forget (like I did) to bring towels along otherwise you have to walk back and pick them up (if you have some :().

“Cheap, close to spa, but very basic”
