Very nice hotel at the Baden Baden train station. I mean really at the station, on platform 1, above Coffee Fellows. If you have been to Baden Baden you will know why this is helpful: the city is too far from the airport to take a walk, and the bus is only once an hour (takes 22 min) - taxis are 12 min but cost 30 euros against the 3.8 euro of the bus. Once you get from the bus to the Banhof, there’s the getting into town. There are several buses into Baden Baden town, for another 15 min. But imagine doing this in a hurry to get to the airport or catch a train? With suitcases and what not? I much prefer to stay at this little hotel, and then explore Baden Baden or catch a train to Strasbourg or Freiburg or Basel without worrying about my suitcase. The rooms aren’t luxurious but they are quite comfy, large, even with a bathtub, which is an unexpected pleasure. You need to make arrangements to access the rooms if arriving after 20:30pm or before 7am, so look out for an email. Staff were attentive and communicative, and for the price, the place is a proper find! Clean, but there were a few notable omissions (toilet had not been flushed since previous use, empty sanitary plastic bags and a light bulb missing); but none of these are fatal. If you are a light sleeper, the freight trains may bother you, so maybe get earplugs. I never heard them.
