“Worth a visit but no longer a hotel”
This hotel is k no I longer a hotel, it’s permanently closed and I’m somewhat surprised that Tripadvisor is still not aware of that. The building itself is one of the oldest in Heidelberg and absolutely worth the visit. There are plenty of other hotels, but you can’t stay in this one

Beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of old town Heidelberg. Staff is wonderful, rooms nicely appointed, breakfast is abundant. The hotel restaurant is excellent! Great hotel for a visit to the Heidelberg Christmas markets. Funicular to the castle just a few blocks away.

Excellent location and love the history! The staff is so attentive and kind. “Great location but needs updating”
The outside of the hotel is gorgeous! The inside is definitely antique but several things were not working such as the shower door in our bathroom and the elevator. We were not told about the elevator prior to our visit. My elderly mom was with me and fell going down the stairs. If you have people … more
