I am a solo female traveler and I really liked this hotel . The price was very good and I also liked that it included breakfast . It’s just around the corner from the train station and about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the main tourist area . My room was simple but clean and they also had a water cooker in the room . As said by others , no elevator . The breakfast area is very cute , Bavarian style and good assortment . I think a great deal . Would definitely recommend for the price . I didn’t feel unsafe in the area, but when I met friends for dinner I took an Uber so obviously they drop you right off at the hotel .

“Entrance off a sketchy side street beware when booking, but decent and clean inside.”

Off a side street (alleyway), entrance is near a dumpster and construction. It's also in a part of town that becomes sketchy and borderline dangerous at night (especially for women). Off a side street (alleyway), entrance is near a dumpster and construction. It's also in a part of town that becomes sketchy and borderline dangerous at night (especially for women). Heard many screams and bottles broken (thrown) after midnight. The hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable enough. Note there is NO lift. We went in August when there was unusually hot weather. The rooms (even the larger family rooms) are only provided a single tabletop ventilator (circulating fan) that I'm guessing only gets used a few times a year. We tried three times to inform the staff that ours did not function but were given an apathetical shoulder shrug and told they didn't have any to spare. We know A/C isn't typical in Germany, but a working fan is a must in 95 degree heat in a room with no airflow from the open windows only on one side of the room, ESPECIALLY when it's advertised in the booking as having ventilators in the room! The 2nd day my son decided to take the fan apart with a butter knife and hairpin, clean the parts and put back together and it finally worked which saved us from another sweaty hot, suffocating night in our room. So hope the guests after us in Room 17 appreciate his mechanical skills. The breakfast was a bit expensive for the simple German fare it was - but still very convenient and decent. The main reason for the lower rating is because of the sketchy street/area.
