This lovely traditional yet uniquely updated hotel was ideal for its location from the train station (roughly an 8 min. walk) and every other possible place you could want to go to in this beautiful city….everything was totally walkable from here…..from restaurants (the famous Juliaspital was right across the street and was just great!), to the famous historical Residence which is incredible and an absolute must see as well as to all the squares of local eateries, pubs and the Alte Main Bridge where the popular tradition of purchasing a glass of wine at the wine window and enjoying the beautiful surrounding sights on the hill in the sunshine is an absolute must…. The hotel reception at both checkin and out were both kind and very helpful…the rooms were huge, sparkling clean, and the beds were beyond comfortable!…the decor was lovely and the bathroom was a dream….so much bigger than most any of the ones we’ve had in previous hotels…all in all a terrific stay and look forward to staying here again!

“A good place to visit”

It was a pity we only stayed a night. We were both a bit frazzled after delays to flights, an hour wait for bags at the airport, and long delays picking up the car, followed by driving in the dark, in the rain, on the other side of the road, on a motorway, in a car larger than what we drive normall… more

It was a pity we only stayed a night. We were both a bit frazzled after delays to flights, an hour wait for bags at the airport, and long delays picking up the car, followed by driving in the dark, in the rain, on the other side of the road, on a motorway, in a car larger than what we drive normally, in a country where we don’t speak the language! The reception manager who greeted us was kind and helpful and took time to explain how to get to the garage. Due to the much later than expected arrival, even the restaurants had stopped serving food but the inn across from the hotel had a small night menu so were able to recalibrate with sausages and a beer! The breakfast at the hotel was good, the room was spacious and had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have stayed longer as the people working there were wonderful.

We stayed here one night and it is an old hotel, but it has been very well maintained. They do not have a bar but greeted us with a glass of wine in the lobby. We stayed here one night and it is an old hotel, but it has been very well maintained. They do not have a bar but greeted us with a glass of wine in the lobby. You can purchase breakfast for €18 and I thought it was a good deal for that amount of money and it’s in a lovely older restaurant that has a very “old” European feel. The restaurant is not open for dinner for lunch, it’s just where they serve breakfast. The location is very good as well. Can you wait We rented a deluxe room and it had a large bathroom and a large room for us to have our two large suitcases. It was very centrally located in the touristy area and near many shops. It was surprising how quiet it was to sleep. The staff were very, very nice and we enjoyed the woman who checked us in who is American and fluent in German, she was just delightful.
