We booked this hotel for it's price, location, and the fact that it takes dogs. This hotel is in a relatively good location, and the city center can be easily reached by foot for those comfortable walking short/mid distances. Nearby, it has a Lidl, and some restaurants and bars (in neighbouring hotels), as well as a petrol station. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning was standard hotel breakfast selection and tasty. When we arrived we were given a voucher for a welcome drink. That evening we decided to go to the bar and cash this in with the intention to stay for another couple. However, the welcome drink was vile and the prices on the bar menu were astronomical. We were a little disappointed as the area was lovely to sit in and we enjoyed using the games there, but over 10 euros for a Hugo is CRAZY! We decided to save the money, went to the petrol station to buy a drink there (sadly Lidl had just closed) and enjoyed a drink n our room instead. We did not use the gym as we spent the day out and about exploring, however, it looked limited, small, and was in a rather public area.

“Nice budget hotel.”

Moxy seems to be based on Ibis Styles concept, no bar fridge, very little storage space, no extras. The room & bathroom very clean, beds & pillows comfortable, bathroom with shower, good water flow. Moxy seems to be based on Ibis Styles concept, no bar fridge, very little storage space, no extras. The room & bathroom very clean, beds & pillows comfortable, bathroom with shower, good water flow. Good airconditioning. Breakfast was quite good with a reasonable selection. Hotel 15 minute walk from train station & about the same into Wurzburg. City was walkable. Reception staffed ,24 hours, staff helpful & provided bag storage after check out. Price was good.

Chose to stay here at the last minute instead of the town’s Motel One because of a last minute price drop which made it much less costly than its competitor. It was only my second-ever stay with this rather strange Marriott brand which, as others have mentioned, takes some getting used to give its rather youthful, clubby and hostel-like feel in places. Nonetheless, Moxy Wurzburg seemed a popular choice with guests of all ages, and understandably so… The room, whilst tiny and basic, was spotlessly clean, cool and comfortable and the limited breakfast offered comprised excellent quality items including bacon and scrambled eggs. The staff members I interacted with were polite, helpful and friendly. The property, which is located in a very commercial and relatively unattractive location, is a brisk 5-10 minute walk from the station and about 10-15 minute’s walk from the city centre. For an overnight stay, it does the job.

Absolutely uncomfortable hotel if you drive there. There is no space to park, check-in, unload luggage. This property tries to charge extra as much as possible. For example, there is free street parking nearby that is not mentioned about, instead expensive garage option is proposed. Rooms are absolutely basic. Positive: I was offered drink coupons and late check-out with just enough time to see the town.
