We rented three units on the lake in August 2018. I want to point out that there are actually several companies renting out units in this vacation park, but only the "Schlosspark" company appears (currently) on TripAdvisor. One of our units was "Ferienpark Bad Saarow", but it's basically in the same park and equivalent. As we were told, the Bad Saarow area is "where Berlin's rich go for vacation". As such, the area is upscale and the prices are relatively high for Germany, and especially former East Germany. However, at least in the case of these units, you get your money's worth, as the houses are big, clean, well-equipped and nicely decorated. The ones we rented each had a sauna (!), jacuzzi, and of course, a fully equipped kitchen and nice porch. The one complaint is that there was no wifi, and we had to connect to the park wifi, which was pretty weak and unstable. Their is really bad cellular data coverage, as well, so it was hard to be "connected", but maybe that is what you want at a place like this. The park is very nice - right on the lake with a path along the lake and boat/bike rentals. Very peaceful. Not a whole lot to do, but very restful. One additional note - if you book with "Ferienpark Bad Saarow", the registration is not at the park itself, but on the other side of the lake (a slow 12 km drive!). We didn't realize this (it was sent to us in the confirmation letter in German a few months before arrival), and we ended up wasting almost two hours trying to find the place and eventually driving back and forth to pick up the key.

“Nice place, great location, but...”

We were 4 families. We ordered 6 months before we arrived. We asked for 5 houses next to each other. They approved. A week before we arrived I got a mail that it is not possible to put us together. We were 4 families. We ordered 6 months before we arrived. We asked for 5 houses next to each other. They approved. A week before we arrived I got a mail that it is not possible to put us together. Besides that they charge extra for the water and electricity. The house is nice. A little older than it looks in their website. But it is ok. Each house has all the needed equipment in the kitchen. The service of the office is good.

Great view over the lake and peaceful location. Accommodation comfortable and clean. However, the property is marketed as having wifi. Forget that! - if you can connect - and that is a big if - it is unbelievably slow. Also, despite the fact that we were out of the property most of the time we were there, and were deliberately careful with water and electricity use (these are billed separately), we were hit with a 49 Euro charge for water and electricity on check-out. This is a real rip-off. Thirdly, the latest check-out time is a not-particularly-generous 10:00. Fair enough. However, we were told that we needed to make an appointment with a staff member to look over the property and take meter readings for electricity and water consumption prior to departure. When we requested a time of 10:00 am for this appointment we were told that they were busy and could only fit us in at 09:10 am. When the staff member arrived at 09:00, she not only wanted to take meter readings and check the property, she wanted to take the keys and asked us to vacate the property. So we were effectively being asked to check-out at 09:10. We protested that we had only been asked to make an appointment for meter readings - not to check out at 09:10. Instead of apologising she said "if everybody wanted to check out at 10:00 it would be impossible for us - we have people arriving and moving in to this apartment later!" Er.... how about recruiting more staff then? Is that the guests' problem? She was aggressive and unfriendly, and unhappy that we were unwilling to leave the apartment at 09:10 on check-out day. Totally unreasonable. In summary: nice views, pleasant location. Appalling wifi, rip-off utility charges, unfriendly staff.
