“Clean, quiet, and cosy hotel”

Great location in the old town area of Celle. Five minute walk to anywhere in old town. Room and all hotel areas were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was great - wide selection and particularly good coffee. Staff were very friendly and our lack of German was not a problem.

This is a small hotel in the pedestrian zone of Celle with easy access to the pitturesque medieval town with all shops and restaurants. The most delightful is that almost all of the quiet, well-designed and smart rooms have access to an idyllic courtyard where one can have an open air breakfast sourced by a rich breakfast buffet inside (no Scandinavian breakfasts with fish, though). Guests have free access to the splendid Fürstenhof Wellness Centre and if your car is to large to fit into the underground garage, you can use the Fürstenhof garage, too.

“Central position”

Central position and a huge room and nice bathroom. Lovely balcony outside the room which we enjoyed very much. Only drawback: no air condition and heavy duvets which was annoying during the heat wave. Breakfast buffet satisfactory. Nice with the underground garage.

Nice looking hotel, same building style like the rest of the beautiful old town. To reach their basement garage you are informed that you are welcome to drive a short distance into a pedestrian street, then quickly turn into a small courtyard. Here you wait for the gate to open so you can drive into the elevator that brings you and the car down to the garage. Another elevator, or stairs, take you up to the reception again. It is important to book a space in the garage if you need one, otherwise it might be fully occupied when you arrive. This is explained as a 3 star hotel, the service we got from the reception desk and from the staff we met was at least in line with 4 star. Our room was not big but practically furnished, it suited us well. We could have wished for a bigger bathroom, but the location in the old town, which was the reason we visited Celle, fully compensated the small size of the rooms. We also enjoyed the balcony alongside our 1.floor (2. floor in Norwegian). It was just big enough for a couple of chairs and a table, a nice place to chill down after a warm day. It also provided access to the terrasse below, the terrasse actually was were an outdoor breakfast could be served. The breakfast was very good and rich. we really enjoyed our time here, in the hotel and as well in the old city.
