Lovely hotel, food is excellent. Room has a lot of wardrobe space. Carpet is outdated and not hygienic (allergies). There is no airconditioning so the rooms get very warm which makes it difficult to sleep. Most of the younger staff member doen't even speak basic English. We hardly got a welcome at the reception desk. The young lady just checked us in without further explanation and her English was very weak. No explanation about the hotel facilities etc and we had to insist to become a guest card for the bus and museums. This is not acceptable. Restaurant staff poor knowledge of English as well. Bathrooms need an update, the bath is small and you slip while taking a shower. It is also very high to get in and out. A walk in shower would be better. Need to give more attention to the maintenance of the bathroom/room. We had cracks in our sink, and shower siliciones came off. One cupboard door wasn't fixed properly. Great pool, sauna and hammam, lovely garden with seats. Conclusion: we had a lovely stay. More attention for details and maintenance is needed. Staff should speak Engish and be more friendly and welcoming.

**Room** The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, though the decor feels somewhat old-fashioned. However, we were disappointed to find our balcony unusable due to scaffolding and nets, which obstructed the view entirely. This was a frustrating surprise, as we hadn’t been informed of the issue. **Facilities** Lovely grounds, nice large swimming pool, free fitness, ok wi-fi, parking 10€/night. **Breakfast** Excellent and wide variety of options, thoroughly enjoyable. Efficient service too. **Dinner** Unfortunately, dinner was very disappointing. It’s no surprise that the half-board arrangement was mandatory: had we had the choice, we would have gladly dined elsewhere. While the main courses were good, the starters and desserts were repetitive and basic. The restaurant service was genuinely poor, unacceptably cold and indifferent to us, even when the venue was nearly empty. Staff seemed disengaged, with no sense of hospitality. Even ordering drinks can be challenging. At one point, we were abruptly directed to a specific table despite many being available (by 8 PM, when we arrived, most guests had finished dining, and tables were empty—evidenced by cleared settings with no cutlery, napkins, or dishes remaining). When we simply asked to sit at a nearby table, the request was refused in a manner that felt dismissive—almost as if we were being treated as subordinates rather than guests. The situation worsened when Ibrahim, who had been speaking English, suddenly switched to German only, making no effort to accommodate us. This came across as indifferent, if not outright disrespectful. A simple solution would be to ensure English-speaking guests are assisted by staff who can communicate with them comfortably. Given the tone and rigidity of service at times... or the absence of service, it felt more like a school canteen than a restaurant. **Positive Note** That said, the front desk staff we spoke to were professional and courteous. Kudos to them for making that part of our stay pleasant.
