“Highly recommended”
This 'Resort' is made up of a hotel and self catering appartments/houses. Torfhaus is a small settlement in the Harz Natinal Park and can be used as a base for walking/vsiting the area. The reception desk, the room and the restaurant are located in different buildings. You need to go outside. That can be a problem when the weather is bad. “Great surroundings and holiday-houses”
If you are to mountain biking or hiking this a great place to stay. The houses are great, good quality and spacious. The breakfast in the nearby restaurant is typical German, which means great variety and solid quality.

Rooms and saunas were nice. Food in the restaurant was also ok, even though the desserts definitely didn’t match the photo in the menu.
