We really liked this hotel. We had a nice room with a balcony, and there is a lift. Food was very good, served in a 4th floor restaurant. There was a hot buffet every night we were there, which was very good value. Breakfast was also good. There is a pool in the basement, and a lovely garden. Staff were helpful. Plenty of free parking. We would definitely stay again.

“Very fine accomodations at an extremely reasonable price”

2 years ago some colleagues and I went cycling in Harz and we stayed in hotel Panoramic (because the apartments are big, and could accommodate our bikes as well). This time we wanted to try something a little more cozy. And that's what we got. We had 3 single rooms and one double room. It isn't five star luxury BUT it is quite comfortable, very clean and in no way run down (as opposed to Panoramic). We were allowed to bring our bikes into the rooms. The host was very welcoming and helpful as well - and in general the service from the staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a pretty big wellness department in the cellar (which we didn't use), and a restaurant on the top floor with some nice views of the surroundings (we only used it for breakfast). There is also ample free parking. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the center of town (down a hill). I had 2 nights with breakfast for €114 incl. local tax for a single room, which in my opinion makes this a real bargain.

“Perfect base for exploring this area”

Bad Lauterburg was our target destination on a motor-cycle holiday from the UK, from which we could explore the Harz region of north Germany, which is well worth a visit. The hotel was a perfect base, and we were not the only bikers to be welcomed there. The rooms were roomy and spotlessly clean, and though the facilities were not quite up to 5 star standards, were quite adequate, with wi-fi throughout for example. The restaurant on the top floor, complete with an outside seating area with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, served an excellent continental breakfast, and evening dinner, although we usually chose to take a 15 minute walk down the hill to the town, and eat in one of the many restaurants offering a wide choice at reasonable prices. There's much to see in the area, the Rappbodetalsperre damn and tunnel, and the old town of Stolberg, to name just two. We even took in Leipzig, although that was another 120 miles East. One of the great features of the hotel was the basement pool, which offered a very welcome relaxing swim after a hot day in the saddle! 3 nights (room only) in June cost around €140 including tax which we thought was excellent value

We actually did not expect to find this hotel to be this pleasant. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately we arrived too late to use the Spa facilities which closed too early for my taste. After a long drive, I would not have had minded a couple of hours in the sau… more

We actually did not expect to find this hotel to be this pleasant. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean. Unfortunately we arrived too late to use the Spa facilities which closed too early for my taste. After a long drive, I would not have had minded a couple of hours in the saunas. None the less our one night stay was very pleasant. We ended up with some other guest watching the soccer German league semi finals and had a very nice evening
