Very enjoyed the one night staying at "Denkmal 13", as the name suggests it's really like a monument building. Got welcomed by an old man (sorry forgot the name) the owner we guess, an old fashioned man that offered us a glass of sparkling wine outdoor, telling us a bit of the hotel and the surroundings. It clear that wine is one of his passions, there's a good selection in the room too. Our room "Condessa Vivienne" was really astonishing, dominated by the canopy bed and the bathtub amid the room. Breakfast was pretty good, enriched by some kind decoration remembering my wife it was her birthday. Note: there's a small internal parking. Thanks to the owner and the waiter, it was a pleasure to spend a night at your hotel.

“Small cosy hotel.”

Very small room, but cosy. The shower is a glass cabin placed almost in the middle of the room. Breakfast very good. Located at the harbour near very good restaurants, and in short distance from the market place and other sights.

Two nights recently at this establishment in the Padre Pepe Room. My wife & I arrived ahead of time and received a friendly welcome together with the offer of a hot or cold drink. On our arrival work was ongoing at the front of the building providing a somewhat confused situation although it should be said that the workmen were not present the following day. Denkmal 13 is situated in the older part of this lovely city and is fortunate to have private parking at the rear. Entrance to the park is at the side of the building through an archway which leads into the rear garden. Thre were a few cars present during our stay and things can get a little tight! Across the road from the hotel is a student accomodation block albeit during our stay we did not encounter any noise etc. type issues.We did see students being collected by parents so it may be that it was a quiet time of the year. Our room was very compact to say the least. A four poster bed dominates the room and there is very little room for maneuverability and even less for one's luggage. The lack of space is not helped by the presence of a small sofa and a wardrobe. There is a very small flatscreen TV in the corner of the room. There was a corner bath in the en-suite which in my case was a little short in length. Again the en-suite was too small for our liking. Without wanting to be too critical, we felt that the room as a whole was too cluttered and almost claustrophobic. The above mentioned wardrobe didn't have any facility for hanging items, that was restricted to a few coathooks behind the room door. Breakfast was alright with a hot food menu available, structured around eggs in it's many forms! There was a small choice of cereals, yoghurt drinks, cheeses etc. Wismar is a lovely town, well worth exploring but should we return, then we will look for something a little more spacious. Do try the nearby brewery both for a drink and food.

A boutique hotel in a good location.(for Unesco city sights),short walk from station & Aldstadt.Family run with parking & free wifi.Breakfast is included with hot items available.All rooms have names instead of numbers-very nice.Rooms are small but comfortable with separate toilet & an open plan bathroom with a green walk in shower in the centre of room.There is a flat screen TV with mini bar & chairs.However the bed,is a problem with a mattress too soft & useless flat pillows?check out @ 1030 is early.staff Re friendly & helpful but not much English.The style & decor & atmosphere is quite good.
