“Welcoming”
A very friendly and welcoming hotel which is up in the hills above Bestwig. I was there for business, so the walks were wasted on me, but even with short time it was nice to go into the forest so easily. “Surprise on way home”
We were on our way to the A46 when just before entering a bridge over the Ruhr we saw a little sign saying Waldhaus Föckinghausen. We followed the sign over the Train crossing and up a very steep hill into the forest. About to return back as we obviously had the wrong way, we saw the Hotel through … more

“Peaceful ”
Stayed here on numerous occasions and I always find the people great, as is the food and environment. Should English people wish a taste of genuine German hospitality look no further. Luton to Dortmund on Easyjet, a short drive, and your eyes will be opened.

“Great place, super hospitable, recommended!”
Just visited Waldhaus Fockinghausen as Guest of a wedding hold there. We were overwhelmed with appreciation: very good service, great help with stuff for our kid, nice food, wonderful location and extremely hospitable people. Definitely recommended!
