Stayed here for 5 nights in January 2014. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, although a few of them could not speak great English (and my german skills are severely lacking!) they still helped where possible. The decor of the rooms was rather old fashioned and basic, but they were very comfortable and extremely clean. The breakfast buffet was well worth the money. The hotel itself is quite far away from the main city centre, possibly a 30-40 minute walk. There is a fantastic tram system in Bielefeld though which could have you at the main shops within 5-10 minutes. I have recommended this hotel to other people on short stopovers and they have been pleased with it also.

The staff at the Senator, are always friendly. We have stayed there three times and are going back next year. The breakfast is good and so are the rooms. There is a car park at the back of the hotel. We stay here every other year, as we come for a reunion, so it is handy for us, also handy for a tram, which is just down the road, plenty of places to eat nearby. Take the tram into the centre of Bielefeld and look at the architecture of the historic buildings, or just do a bit of shopping.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and I can say that it is a very reliable solution if you have business in the area. All rooms have balcony and are very large. Furniture and toilets are not very modern but everything is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very complete. The only minus is that, if you don't have car, you are a bit isolated from everywhere else. If you don't want to eat fast-food, you have to walk a considerable distance to the nearest restaurant. Or you can order food to your room ( flyers available at the reception). You can also take a tram do the city center ( not very far away).

“No Frills, No Pretentions”

As the title says. This hotel is about 15 min walk from the team to the city centre.. Restaurants in the vicinity are fast food with no bars that we could find. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but extra.
