“Good location”
Great little hotel in the centre of Essen and close to the train station. Rooms very small, but met our needs for three nights. Didn’t have any food so can’t comment. Cheap and cheerful and ideally located . Not much else to say! It has a small bar !

“Good location for Christmas markets”
Quick one night stay whilst visiting the Christmas markets - good location. Basic but clean , Car park next door , check in was easy . Staff friendly - The rooms were fine although the bathroom was quite small Would stay again if visited Xmas market

“A good Ibis”
If you have to go to Essen (and I'd not rush) then this hotel is a very good value choice. The rooms are Ibis-like as it is an Ibis and perfectly serviceable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Great location. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. Definitely value for money. We had 3 rooms for 6 adults for one night and everyone was satisfied.
