“Functional ”

Comfortable room, great breakfast. Internet available, but WLAN absent. This should be considered on the improvement list. Today most people are using tablets or smartphones for business, so the LAN cable is not always a viable solution.

“Simple, no frills, university-like accomodation”

We stayed here for 2 days on business. Check-in was friendly and efficient. However, we asked if the hotel had restaurants and were told it had two; we asked if we needed to reserve and were told it was not necessary. What we were NOT told, until AFTER we had checked into our rooms and deposited our baggage (and car keys) was that the restaurants are all closed in the evenings and the only way to get something to eat is to wander around the neighbourhood and find something. The rooms we stayed in were in the A and B annexes at the rear of the hotel - a long walk away and in separate buildings. The immediate impression of walking into the annexes is of a pleasant but prison-like layout: Large, open space in the middle, with rooms on three levels, on either side, serviced by stairs and simple and very slow lifts. The rooms are modern, clean and small, with single beds and small TVs and small bathrooms; very typical of a student-type residence. The facilities in the rooms are adequate, the TV has English and German channels and the shower is excellent, with hot water and plenty of pressure. The Wifi is available but through a third party. The beds are poor, with lumpy mattresses and impossibly 'flat' pillows. The heating is difficult to control and the only way we could manage was to turn it off and open the windows. In general, we found the staff very friendly and helpful. For the price (55 Euros per night excluding breakfast), you cannot complain but you will not get any luxuries or food in the evenings.

“Business trip”

A typical hotel to be used during trade fairs, with a good service, specially at the reception. It is huge and with good conditions to conferences, meetings, etc. A poor bar service with no food at night and since it is a little isolated should have a restaurante running at nigh.
