“A place often to return to.”
Very friendly staff/ owners, spacious rooms, rich breakfast, delicious dinners. A paradise for hiking. Hundreds of paths, unforgettable panoramic views, beautiful coniferous and broadleaf forests. “Excellent location”
The Hotel offers an excellent stay with great surroundings and near the Winterberg ski slopes. Rooms are comfortable. Food and drinks affordable and staff is kind. Wellness area is acceptable - mind you, if you get at room in the guesthouse/annex building - wifi may not be 100%.

“Spacious hotel on top of a mountain”
The hotel is really big which works fine if you have plenty of guests. On the night I was staying there were not really enough guests to fill the spacious public areas. The hotel is not easily reachable by public transport, the best thing to do is to call the hotel and see if they can pick you up from Winterberg station.
