It is a very cozy hotel, i really enjoyed because is close for everything, people are super nice they speaks english and dont deny any effort to helps you. The view from the window is super nice and the breakfast is amazing! I enjoyed a lot. Why not 5stars? There is no dinner in the hotel, you must need go out to eat and don’t have some snacks available to purchase... there is only a “drink’s machine” on the reception...

“OK for a work stay”

Staff were nice both in reception and the restaurant, food was OK, the place is too noisy, and its very dated I would have been disappointed if I was the person picking up the bill.

Very friendly and professional staff. Good breakfast. You have to pay 10€ ekstra, if you want a room without the noise from the main road, there's traffic all night long. 17€ to park right in front of the entrance. 15€ to park around the corner. “Good but could be better ”

I stayed at Victor's for four nights a couple of weeks ago. I had travelled to this part of Germany to principally go to the nearby Hockenheim race track to see the German DTM race series and this was a convinient location to stay. Frankenthal was an easy town to travel to and I had no problems finding the hotel. The first view of the hotel will be quite memorable as the entire building is circular in shape. On arrival checking in was completed quickly and I was soon in my room. That was when a large drawback was apparent. The temperature in the room was far too high. There was a simple ceiling fan in the middle ofthe room and I put this on full and I wondered if this might also start an air conditioning unit but I couldn't see one. After about 15 minutes the conditions had barely changed so I went back down to the reception to seek help. The receptionist came up to the room and agreed that it was very hot and offered to get me an extra fan. there was clearly no option of air conditioning. He brought in a large floor standing fan which did help to an extent but for the rest of the stay the general temperature in the room, even at night, stayed too high. The room as a whole was quite nice. A comfortable bed, reasonable size bathroom and good quality furniture all made for a pleasant ambience. Free wi-fi was available and was fairly reliable although for some reason some pages on my smartphone would not display as they normally do when I use wi-fi at home. I went out from the hotel in the evning and walked into the nearby town centre. Frankenthal is a medium size town with a nice central pedestrianised area with a good variety of shops and eating possibilities. I had breakfast in the hotel each morning and this was one of its' best features. The restaurant is located on the very top floor and offers lovely views of the surrounding area. The buffet style breakfast provided a huge range of choices and it really was good. It was very convienient to park a car at the hotel as there is a large car park adjacent. This is also used for the Congress Forum which is next door. The only drawback was the high charge for the parking, namely 15 Euros per day, which I considered to be a bit much for this sort of location. You might expect such a charge for a day's parking in, say Frankfurt, maybe but not a suburb town such as this. Travel possibilities from Frankenthal are varied and easy. You can be on the autobahn network within five minutes and the town's station is a ten minute walk with local S Bahn services taking you on to larger hubs. On my final morning at check out I again mentioned the problem with room temperature and the lady at reception told me that due to the unusual, circular, construction of the building it was not possible to incorporate air conditioning. "It's a winter hotel" she described it as. So all in all it was a reasonable time spent at Victor's but I would certainly say you should be very wary of staying there during a high summer period as I feel it would be a very hot experience.
