I had 3 nights at Radisson Leipzig and was pleased to be able to use my points for the whole stay. I had been in contact with Daniel, the GM, prior to my arrival, and was impressed with his polite reply. However, I never met him during my stay. It is a new hotel, so furnishings, decor, etc are fresh and very pleasant, especially the reception and lobby areas. I thought my room was on the small side but as Daniel pointed out, it was a Radisson Hotel but not Radisson Blu! However, the design of my room could have been better. You could only watch the TV if you sat or lay on the bed. There was a comfortable arm chair but no room to place it next to the bed. I did appreciate that the window opened, as I like to have some fresh air and the shower was great. As a VIP member, I received an upgrade and also a free welcome drink, but at Radisson, Mannheim, there was also a small bottle of wine waiting for me in my room, but not in Leipzig! The duvet was far too heavy, so sleep quality was rather poor. Breakfast was average. No sausages or bacon, not that I like to eat them every morning. Also, there was no information as to whether an omelette could be ordered, for example. No welcome at breakfast, no offer of a cup of coffee. The waiting staff didn't seem to be able to interact positively with the guests, and personal presentation could have been improved. I had dinner one evening in the hotel but was not impressed with the menu or the quality of the dish served. I decided to have 4 shirts laundered. It cost 48 euros, an excessive amount in my opinion. I understand that laundry is outsourced, but still, far too expensive. At Radission Mannheim, 4 shirts cost me 18 euros, a significant difference! Although I speak 5 languages, I do not speak German, and overall, I was impressed by the quality of English spoken at the hotel.

“MODERN AND NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO THE RAILWAY STATION”

My wife and I stayed one night at the Radisson Leipzig. We can definitely recommend the hotel for a visit. My wife and I stayed one night at the Radisson Leipzig. We can definitely recommend the hotel for a visit. The location is about 8-10 minutes walk from the busy railway station where we arrived by train, located in a very quiet area and easy to find. The hotel seemed quite new with modern equipment and containing what you need for a hotel night.. We were also upgraded to a Premium room when we arrived, which gave us more space. Breakfast was excellent and served in a breakfast room not too crowded. The only disappointment was that although it was written on the Hotel information screen in the room, dinner was served every night, no dinner was available that night. Our plan was to have dinner in the restaurant at the hotel after having done sight seeing in Leipzig for several hours the day we arrived, but we were informed when we went down for dinner, that no dinner was served during the summer months . Because of this, we had to go to the railway station and buy some food that night. We informed the reception next morning, when we checked out and requested them to update this information on the TV screen, which we hope has been done now. Except for the wrong information about the restaurant, we shall recommend the hotel, the staff, the service and the price, Henry J. Grindheim, Asker, Norway
