“Very nice small Hotel”

We have had a very good time in this hotel in Flensburg. The rooms are very lovingly furnished and everything was very clean. The bath was modern with a large shower. The breakfast was ok. The hotel is somewhat difficult to find, but it is very quiet place. A good tip for Flensburg.

We visited the quaint town of Flensburg in March, 2007. We were a little apprehensive about staying in a pension on our first trip overseas - not quite sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! Our accomodations were very comfortable and EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Our room was spacious, had enough storage area, and the private bath was wonderful. But, the best part of our stay was the lovely owners of the pension! They could not have been more friendly or accomodating. I had emergency dental work that needed to be done - the owner took me personally to translate for me as my German is almost non-existant! He located fun activities for us to do and translated whenever needed. His wife provided the most satisfying breakfasts daily. We can't say enough good things about our experience at the Pension Engelsby.

“Good peaceful and clean place to stay overnight”

We stayed here one night as a stop over when driving back to North. We couldn't find any reasonable priced hotel in Flensburg or near by so we ended up here. We stayed here one night as a stop over when driving back to North. We couldn't find any reasonable priced hotel in Flensburg or near by so we ended up here. We payed 75 euros and I found it a bit expensive as the price did not include breakfast. The place itself is not central at all as it is in a normal living area with normal home houses. The owner lives down stairs. We got our own key so we could come later on in when we wanted. It is possible to check in later on but remember to agree on this with the owner before! The room itself is very clean and nicely decorated. Bed linens and towels were included and those were in good shape. The bath room was especially very new and clean and there were hand soap and shower gel ready for you and the towels were especially very thick and good. The room does not have a fridge but it has a small TV and a good working (free) WLAN. You can park you car in front of the house free of charge. In general it is a good place to stay, nothing luxurious but it is a home type of staying instead of a hotel.

There is a kindergarten with loud children next door, and the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, so if you want to sleep longer than 7am you should look somewhere else. There is a kindergarten with loud children next door, and the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, so if you want to sleep longer than 7am you should look somewhere else. The rooms are nice and large though, with large bathrooms (we stayed in room 1). There was no air conditioning, and with 27 C outside, the room was too warm for a comfortable night. The house was a little bit hard to find with roadworks in a street leading to it, and the location is not exactly central, though there are som restaurants and fast food joints nearby. This guesthouse is cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.
