“Convenient location and large rooms”

A cute little hotel with a fun theme that is very convenient for airport travelers! Easy to get to from the train and easy to get to the airport. There are a few restaurants and a little grocery store within a quick walk.

“Good and cheap hotel near the airport”

This is not a new hotel and not a 5 star hotel, but if you need to spend a night or two near Hamburg Airport this is a good choice. The beds are fine, the rooms are large and clean, the breakfast was good and the service excellent.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Nice hotel, clean, quirky with the airline theme. Free parking and a pleasant breakfast. Hotel is 10 minutes walk from the underground station and 15 minutes walk from the airport. Easy to get into the city. There are several restaurants and bars within 10 minute walk. Staff were pleasant and helpful. One issue was that our room smelled strongly of cigarettes despite is saying the room is non smoking. We opened the window and it soon cleared. Perhaps the cleaning staff could double check this and open windows to air the rooms before guests arrive since not all guests obey the no smoking rule.

“A mediocre one”

I could smell smoke that was not good!! and there were no elevators! The staff were helpful to help me with the luggage.. The breakfast was OK. Hope they can separate smoking and non smoking rooms ....

I have stayed at the hotel two times for business purposes. It is well located if you have business to attend to in the area surrounding the airport and the airport itself is only a 3-5 minute bus ride away. You can also really easily reach it with a half hour train ride coming from the central station, which I found very convenient. From the train station it only takes a short walk to get to the hotel. There is a supermarket, drugstore and pharmacy in close walking-distance as well as multiple places you can get good food. The rooms are pretty big compared to other hotels, though you can tell that the hotel and interior is rather old and not up to date. The mattresses are pretty soft and weirdly springy, which makes them rather uncomfortable in my opinion. The floors are carpeted so you have to keep that in mind if you have any allergies. Other than that the rooms also have a small table and chairs, a tv and small closet with hangers. The doors and the walls are pretty thin so you will hear a lot of what is going on on the hallways and in rooms next to yours. As the hotel is located in proximity of the airport and next to a busy road it can get quite noisy especially with the windows open. The hotel also doesn't have any elevators and a rather big amount of stairs and no room is accessible for people with disabilities. The bathrooms are okay. What I don't like is that the shower heads doesn't have any settings to change, so they only operate with a power/massage setting, which isn't really convenient or comfortable especially when you want to wash longer, thicker hair. During my second stay the light in the bathroom also only turned on after turning the light switch on and off multiple times, which also was very annoying. The breakfast is rather nice. They have a large variety of teas and also a variety of coffee drinks from a machine. They always offer a variety of bread, spreads, cheeses and meat, yoghurt, a variety of fruit and juices as well. I found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. All in all an okay hotel, nothing more and nothing less. But enough if you need a place to stay for a couple of nights and don't want to spend a lot of money.
