“Brilliant”

We chose this hotel mainly because of its location right in the centre of Athens, on Ermou. On arrival, we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and its modern, tasteful fixtures and fittings. We chose this hotel mainly because of its location right in the centre of Athens, on Ermou. On arrival, we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and its modern, tasteful fixtures and fittings. The bathroom is all marble with a rainwater plus hand shower and high quality amenities. The owners seem to have thought of everything, even providing a net scrunchie as well as face flannels. The bed is enormous, with a memory foam top to the mattress which made sleeping super comfortable. The sheet were Egyptian cotton and the pillows soft and fluffy. I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well in a hotel bed. There is a giant TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime etc, although otherwise mainly Greek channel. On searching the bedside cabinets for the hair dryer, I was pleasantly surprised to find a plug adapter and some complimentary earplugs. It seems that the management have thought of everything. Although there is no breakfast available at the hotel, the room has a Nespresso coffee machine with unlimited coffee pods, a kettle and a fridge. There are numerous bakeries, coffee shops and brunch places nearby, so getting breakfast wasn’t a problem. Finally, there are towelling robes and slippers as well as plenty of storage for your clothes. I would happily stay there again or in any of the other Nur Aparthotels in Athens.

While this hotel was very clean and modern and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, this is not a traditional hotel experience and they should tell you that on their website. There is no traditional hotel lobby, you must enter a public building area and take an elevator to the 4th floor to check-in and you need a code to access the elevator and your room. There is no hotel restaurant and no room service. If you are looking for a traditional hotel experience then this is not the hotel for you.
