“Convenient location”

Love the location of this hotel especially if you are going to Meteora and need to catch the first direct train in the morning at 7:15am. There's also a grocery store opens till 9pm just across the street. Breakfast also generous.

“Location, location, location.”

We booked this hotel due to the close proximity of the central train station. It was a 1 minute walk away! Also as we had to leave early on both mornings they very kindly made us a breakfast box so that we did not miss out.

I chose the OH due to the proximity to the Larissa train station (just 100 steps or so down the hill from the hotel front door). Thankfully, it was also immediately identifiable by the sign on the side of the building. However, once I discovered how easy it was to use the metro system (also available from the Larissa station), I understood that there are probably several dozen hotels within a few steps of the other stations (I did not want to drive--and park--in Athens!). One additional advantage of the OH was having a large supermarket just across the street. For a couple meals I was able to economize and pick up enough to stay refueled for the time spent touring the city. The hotel itself could stand some upgrading. My room was comfortable and apparently clean, but a bit on the small side (though not as much as the two hotel elevators--minuscule!). The breakfast options were OK, but not great. The cold scrambled eggs the first morning were rather sad. For the price and convenience, however, it is hard to complain.

Immediately outside Larissa metro station (and also the railway station) so all of Athens immediately accessible. (5 day transport passes can be purchased for about 9 euros covering metro/buses/trams, a total bargain). There is a supermarket opposite the hotel entrance. A 24hr shop 2mins up road at the crossroads, plus a small shop open long hours 2 mins away along the road in front of the hotel (facing Larissa). Reception staff are helpful and welcoming, happy to help out with info and in assisting where they can. Room was clean and well insulated against the noise of traffic (there is a busy road in front, and to one side of hotel). My gripe would be a lack of balcony furniture- which was easily resolved by taking furniture from the room- but it wouldn't take too much for the hotel to improve here. The roof top bar is gorgeous... One of the reasons we chose the hotel. Unfortunately it has little character and zero atmosphere which was a let-down. It almost felt like the hotel didn't want residents to relax and enjoy the space. As a result of this, we spent a lot of time on the balcony (using the indoor furniture, drinking beverages from the supermarket across the road) which I think is a great shame. Other residents appeared to do the same too which meant when we did go up, there would be 5 or 6 people max. TV screen on silent, and some music down low. **uncomfortable!** My 18 Yr old and 21 Yr old sons took to going back to the hotel we stayed at before 5 mins along the road towards Metaxougio. So, if quietness is your thing, this is a great rooftop bar, if you want a bit of socialising and character, perhaps not. Word of warning- which is absolutely not the hotel's fault or responsibility- care should be taken late at night in the area... Some interesting goings-on under the trees outside the supermarket can be witnessed from the higher balconies!

The hotel is situated across the road from Larissa railway station which suited us well as we were getting an early train to Kalambaka in the morning. The hotel is situated across the road from Larissa railway station which suited us well as we were getting an early train to Kalambaka in the morning. We were given a triple room for no additional cost. The air conditioning was not working very well and because the unit faced west it was quite hot in the room. The beds were not good at all, very hard. The parthenon is visible from the pool area which is adjacent to the bar which stays open until late. Bar prices a bit on the expensive side. Did not experience any noise problems.
