Both Ammos and Grill by the Pool offer fantastic food, excellent service, and wonderful settings that made our stay even more memorable.A special mention goes to Ageliki, who oversees the hotel’s two breakfast restaurants every day. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail are truly exceptional. Every morning she had my fresh carrot and celery juice ready without me even having to ask, a thoughtful gesture that I truly appreciated. It’s equally clear how much her team values and supports her. She is a wonderful asset to the hotel and made our experience even more special. We can’t wait to come back!

We spent an amazing 10 days at Sani Beach, and once again our experience was nothing short of exceptional. This is one of those rare places where the reality not only matches the photos but actually exceeds them. The beach and the sea are simply outstanding. The water is crystal clear, the sand is soft and spotless, and the gentle entrance into the sea makes swimming a real pleasure. We could always find comfortable sunbeds and enjoy a relaxing day by the water. The staff deserve special recognition. This was our fifth visit to Sani Beach, and every year we are warmly welcomed by Andrey. He is always thoughtful, professional, and genuinely kind. Throughout our stay, Igor took wonderful care of us. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, he made sure everything was perfect. He was always friendly, attentive, and every request was handled promptly with a smile. The dining experience continues to impress us year after year. Breakfast offers an excellent variety of high-quality products, and we especially enjoyed the fresh fish and seafood dishes. We would also like to thank Roman at Poseidon Restaurant for his genuine hospitality, warm attitude, and outstanding service, which made every visit truly enjoyable. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens, lovely walking paths, and a charming marina filled with restaurants and boutiques. There is something for everyone, whether you are travelling as a couple or with children. It was also a pleasure to see our wonderful Andrea again. Her positivity, warmth, and infectious energy make every visit even more special. Overall, this holiday exceeded our expectations once again. Sani Beach is a place where you truly experience exceptional service, a peaceful atmosphere, and attention to every detail. We are already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a first-class seaside holiday.

We’ve just spent a week at Sani in July, and the hard part of writing this is separating Sani the resort, which is lovely and mostly shiny and new, from Sani Beach the hotel, which was the one part that fell short. I’ll take them in turn, and I’ll say up front that when we raised our concerns with Julia the Suite manager of Sani Beach, the response was receptive. The value headline: we paid the same for our one-bedroom sea view family suite at Sani Beach as a similar room at Porto Sani, and staying at Sani Beach felt a little like buying the nicest house in a less desirable neighbourhood. Yes there is a play area there and you’re a bit closer to the tennis and football, and a beach, but it was nowhere near as nice. Sani Beach, the hotel. Our room felt tired, though this is the gripe most likely to vanish; we understand Block B is being refurbished over winter 2026, so future guests should find it much fresher. The beach is rocky, and Bousoulas gets very windy in the afternoons. The main pool was hard to swim in at times thanks to ball games and little supervision, with anyone wanting to swim properly seemingly nudged towards the infinity pool. I tried the spa only once, when maintenance happened to be underway so I couldn’t use it, and I didn’t go back as the basement setting did feel quite dingy. Two things a refurbishment won’t touch, and they’re the ones I’d weigh most. First, the feel: between smoking and phone calls around the loungers and a busy, boisterous local (Bulgaria is only 90 mins away) crowd, Sani Beach leaned closer to the Costa del Sol than the calm family setting we’d imagined, and it was the least peaceful of the hotels we visited. Second, the value: it costs the same as Porto Sani yet feels a tier below, so unless the pricing shifts, that mismatch is likely to remain even with a room glow up; the spa and that busy atmosphere are the parts most likely to persist. One more heads-up: the Sani Festival runs on around six Saturday nights from roughly mid-July to mid-August, and Sani Beach sits close enough that those evenings are going to be very loud and run until midnight (confirmed with the Sani team, and the taxi driver says those Saturdays are crazy on the roads so maybe guests come who aren’t staying in the hotel?); even the afternoon soundchecks we could hear from Sani Club. The ground floor rooms looked awful with so many people traipsing past, sitting on the little walls around them and leaving their bikes outside. Would defo recommend a higher floor. Each hotel has its own character, worth knowing before you book. Porto Sani skews British and French; Sani Club has more of an American, White Lotus feel; and Sani Beach draws a very international crowd, with a large Eastern European contingent, and was the busiest and least relaxed of the ones we visited. We didn’t spend any time at Dunes because apparently they are strict about non Dunes guests being there. (And Asterias you can’t go in) The wider resort. You can roam freely between the hotels for pools, beaches and lunch; in practice we used other hotels’ pools and beaches without any issue, though do note the residents-only signs, as staff can in theory ask you to move. The new Anemos beach is lovely. There are splash pools at Porto and Sani Beach and a play area at Sani Beach, and the Babe Watch beach toys are left out all day for any child to use, which ours adored. Football, tennis and scuba are all close to Sani Beach, and the shops are full of really good children’s kit, from swimwear to toys. Bike hire is great value at around 15 euros for 24 hours, and the bike centre staff were very helpful; the car transfer came with proper, age-appropriate car seats. Restaurants. Avli in the harbour was lovely. Lima was good, with a great view and a proper kids’ menu, and Cabana was authentically French, again with a nice view and a good children’s menu. The Italian at Sani Club made a good lunch, and we preferred Psaroyiannos to Ouzerie. Poseidon put on a good breakfast spread. Ammos underwhelmed at both breakfast, where the selection was smaller and the sparrows were bold enough to eat off your plate, and dinner, which was slow and disappointing. We skipped the poolside grill and Poseidon for dinner after hearing mixed things. A tip on dining plans: the food allowance rarely stretches far, so half or full board only really pays off if you steer towards the set-menu restaurants; otherwise you may as well pay as you go. Lunch in the quieter restaurants was relaxed, with so few people around. Two small wishes for families: a printed children’s menu (the kids’ options are hidden in the back of the adult one, and I kept having to ask) and some colouring or crayons on the table would go a long way; without them the little ones around us drifted to tablets. For children specifically, the Chelsea football academy was good but very hot for the youngest, who were running around outdoors mid-morning in around 30 degrees. The other hotels, in brief. Porto Sani is much more beautiful and felt far more relaxed than Sani Beach, with its own beach a short walk along the dunes; it’s the one we’d return to. One safety note for parents: the Porto pool twists and turns a fair bit and seemed to have just one lifeguard covering all of it, so keep a closer eye on younger children. Sani Club is gorgeous but far from everything, and Asterias looks like a Bond villain’s lair; probably not one for a family unless you happen to be Tom Cruise. Bottom line: we wouldn’t rush back to Sani Beach but we’d happily return to Porto Sani. Either way, the Sani team’s willingness to listen left us on a warm note.
