This is the second time that I have visited Skentos Hotel, both times as a solo traveller. This is a hidden gem of a hotel, tucked just around the corner from the main street in Kriopigi. Small and unassuming, the hotel is the perfect place to go for peace and quiet. My room was large and clean, with a king size bed, and very comfortable pillows! The views! When opening the door to your apartment for the first time, I'm telling you, the views will literally take your breath away. The room comes with a fair size balcony, that gets the sun until lunchtime. All rooms overlook the swimming pool, and beyond that is the turquoise sea. While it's true that the beach is a fair walk downhill (then back up again!) The pool area remains peaceful, and I spent many an afternoon there totally on my own. It was bliss! The hosts are the loveliest and kindest people, with whom nothing is a bother. They are always on hand to help, if needed, or to answer any queries that you may have. The main street of Kriopigi is a five minute walk away, and has so many places to eat, each one as good as the other, that it is very difficult to choose. There are also several mini markets and some lovely gift shops selling local goods. There are also nearby villages where you can visit, Afitos, being a favourite, with it's stone buildings, winding streets, and magnificent views. The hospitality of the Kriopigi people is unrivalled, and every where I went people were very warm and welcoming. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and would most certainly return to the Skentos Hotel and the village of Kriopigi again. After all, it has captured my heart.

“Perfect experience”

It was an unforgettable experience. I went with my girlfriend. the people there were kind hosts and helpful. The room was very comfortable and big with a great view. The location was very good, just a little far from the sea without creating a problem. I highly recommend it

Skentos hotel is the loveliest place for us when visiting the beautiful village of Kriopigi. The owners are the friendliest ever and the hotel surrounded by beautiful different fruit trees. Even though so close to the main road, it's perfect for relaxation. Breathtaking views over the Gulf of Toroneos between Kassandra and Sithonia. Rooms very tidy and clean and the pool is wonderful!

Hotel Skentos is a hidden gem. The rooms are basic but cleaned to a good standard and the towels and bedding were changed frequently. Rooms on the first and second floor have a view of the sea and the pool which is wonderful. The owners are friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the air con which we reported and it was sorted within the hour. There is a small pool bar and the prices were very reasonable. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger round the pool even though the hotel was full during our stay. It’s very close to the Main Street in Kriopigi where there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. You can hear some music from the balcony at night but this is barely audible in the room and certainly not intrusive at all. The walk to Kriopigi beach is about fifteen/twenty mins down quite a steep and windy hill. We walked down many times during our trip but got a taxi back each time for 5 euros. The bus stop is a short walk away where you can catch the bus to the other resorts along the coast including Afytos and Pefkochori for a couple of euro each. We would definitely return to this hotel.
