“Just what we wanted”
As our flight into Kalamata arrived 18.30 we needed to stay in the town as we had a long drive next day to Gythio. Our room (1) was off the reception and facing the street which was not noisy. Unfortunately I had only one night here - thougt of staying one more day in Kalamata mainly to stay longer at Hibiscus. Small and nice hotel located close (walking distance) to everything. “CONVENIENT PLACE TO STAY IF YOU LIKE WALKING”
We were in Kalamata as that was where many Australians left Greece to head to Crete during WW2. We walked down to the old city, but unfortunately the museum was closed.
