I had a very positive stay at the The Westin Resort Guam and would gladly return. As part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, the resort delivers the level of consistency and quality I’ve come to expect from the brand. The benefits and recognition for Bonvoy members added extra value to the overall experience. The location is excellent, right in Tumon with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The beachfront setting really stands out—the views are relaxing, and the water is calm and clear. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The Westin Heavenly Bed lived up to its reputation and made for very restful sleep. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive throughout the stay. Service was professional and courteous across the board. Staff were welcoming, responsive, and handled requests efficiently, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. Amenities were solid, especially the pool area and direct beach access. It strikes a good balance between being family-friendly and still feeling calm and relaxing. Overall, it’s a dependable, well-run resort that reflects the strengths of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient beachfront hotel with good service and reliable quality.

Overall a great time - 5 nights 6 days staying here. It’s overall great but a mix of a few downsides too. We booked a double room for 2 adults and 2 kids 14,12, but soon found after one night it was a bit small for us, so got another room, which after 2 more nights we could move to an upgraded juni… more

Overall a great time - 5 nights 6 days staying here. It’s overall great but a mix of a few downsides too. We booked a double room for 2 adults and 2 kids 14,12, but soon found after one night it was a bit small for us, so got another room, which after 2 more nights we could move to an upgraded junior suite and adjoining double room The Good: The beach! All beaches in Guam are amazing but Westin has fantastic access right into the calm ocean, easy to see fish swimming around even without googles. The pools are nice but simple. The location is also great - walking distance to great restaurants - primo pizzakaya, Dos burgers and little Pikas. Front desk team are attentive and helpful. The club breakfast is simple but great food and everyday different type of eggs and lovely team giving ideas and suggestions for touring around. The needs improvement: The hotel is definitely old and needs some upgrades, one room we had 1612 had issues: hot water was very lukewarm. Shower leaked out door badly and flooded floor every shower, and some strange beeping sounds that we couldn’t find the source. One suggestion for Westin or any hotel that has pools, they need to think about guests and their swim wear. Hotel designers should stay as guests and try and work out those logistics. People need to dry their swimwear, so we bring some rope to make a clothes line on the balcony etc. 5 star hotels should have these options or even better swim suit spinning machine to dry etc.

When this property was built, it must have been a show stopper. Fantastic location on the bay where we went out every day of our stay to snorkel and sun bathe. When this property was built, it must have been a show stopper. Fantastic location on the bay where we went out every day of our stay to snorkel and sun bathe. The water is so clear that the fish are easy to see even without the snorkel masks — don't miss wading out to the shallow area near the rocks for a fest for the eyes! The food was nothing special, but we didn't go hungry and the offerings were varied enough that there is something for everyone. Typical bar offerings at the pool bar were as expected, and the pool area was nice although there were never enough chairs. If the physical property itself were up to snuff, our stay would have been much more highly rated. However, the property is decidedly not the typical Westin level. As mentioned at the start, it was probably amazing back in the day. But in THIS day, it's so dated that it really impacted the feel of the stay in a negative way. Flaking paint, water stains, worn carpet, broken beach chairs, non-functional bathroom stalls, you name it. Worst of all was the mattress — an important amenity for Westin's brand image — which should have been replaced a decade ago. The center "trench" was pronounced and impossible to avoid.
