We had a very nice stay here for a week. Great place to make your base for exploring the area. Stayed in a nicely appointed, clean 2 BR villa., with good sized bedrooms. It's just outside the historic area, which was a nice escape, yet only a 10 min walk to the Central Market and 15 maybe to the main square. They do have a free shuttle but we did not feel the need to use it. Walk the other direction 5 minutes and there is a very modern supermarket and mall. We did not find it to be very noisy, or at least no noisier than staying town would be. But We always travel with earplugs and a eye mask. We did not eat at the restaurant or use the spa. Either the no outside food policy isn't enforced or does not apply to the villa. There is a stove, microwave, and good size refrigerator. No oven The staff was pleasant and helpful. For THE BEST volcano views in town when you walk in the lobby, go to the right, through the bar, and up the metal stairs to a terrace that has some seating. All in all I would stay thee again.

“Ugly start but very pleasant stay afterwards.”

The hotel is ok but our experience on the first night had a lot to be desired. The villa they gave us seemed to have not been used for a long time. The hotel is ok but our experience on the first night had a lot to be desired. The villa they gave us seemed to have not been used for a long time. It had a musty smell, a beat up kitchen area a personal bed in the middle of the living room, a bathroom full of insects. For about 1 hour we didn’t have water at all and when it came it was brown. Anyway I decided to take a shower I was so tired then bathtub didn’t drain at all, the water was almost to my knees by the time I finished taking a shower. We called for help and were quickly transferred to just a regular room which was very good. We want to express our gratitude to the following employees which made the change possible even though they had told us the hotel was full to capacity. Thank you Monica Rodríguez, Gerson García, Carlos Flores and Emilio Martín, you made what started ugly into a beautiful stay for the rest of the week.

Soleil Antigua is about 25 minute walk from the Parque Central, the heart of Antigua. It is a large gated property that caters to large groups and tours. Soleil Antigua is about 25 minute walk from the Parque Central, the heart of Antigua. It is a large gated property that caters to large groups and tours. Our room was medium size with comfortable clean beds and a sitting area. Had a fireplace but didn't try to use it. Has heat and air conditioner. Shower tub has powerful spray. Toilet paper has to be disposed into a can, not the toilet. Safe sadly did not work. No fridge or microwave. Buffet style food was good and lots of choices. Service was designed to get you in and out. Outdoor swimming pool was under going repairs so unable to assess.
