“Great Stay at Hampton Inn & Suites, Lamar”

This hotel was recently renovated, and it was great. They did a beautiful job - decor nicely appointed. The staff was very polite. Clean, good breakfast, comfortable bed. It was a good location for the reason we visited the area. We'd definitely return!

My son and I stayed here on our way to Woodward Camp on a Saturday (4/18). After a 5+ hour trip from Mass, we arrived around 3pm and were greeted by the nicest Front Desk agent ever! I wish I remembered her name, but she had gray hair and glasses. After we got settled, we promptly made our way to the heated pool! The pool is your average hotel pool in scope of size, depth, and temperature. What sets it apart is their seating. As a plus sized gal, I really appreciated the fact that they don't use those ridiculous white plastic chairs, but rather, some really study metal seating with a wide seating area! I will go back here for this little thing alone. Also, the breakfast was great! I was so happy to find they offered un-shelled hard boil eggs, which is a rarity to me.

Convenient location off route 80, gas stations, dollar store, convenience store, restaurants right at the exit. Have stayed here with friends many times up till about 5 years ago when it seemed st be going downhill. So we started staying elsewhere. We heard this location had a new owner and a recent renovation so we decided to give it a try. Boy, were we blown away. The renovation was comprehensive and breathtaking, inside and out. All of our rooms were completely remodeled, the gym was larger and brighter and very clean, the lobby and breakfast area were modernized, and most of all, the employees were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Crystal at the front desk was professional and very personable. Our housekeepers, Tara and Riley (might not be spelling all these names correctly) were also great. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here overnight while passing through. It’s right off the highway, but quiet. Staff was friendly. Room air conditioner was very loud. We stayed here overnight while passing through. It’s right off the highway, but quiet. Staff was friendly. Room air conditioner was very loud. When I mentioned it at checkout, staff seemed aware of it so I’m not sure why it wasn’t repaired. Room was clean, but shower conditioner was completely empty which was annoying bc you don’t realize until you need it! Breakfast was a bit meager for my liking, but the staff was friendly and they did have waffles which probably works for a lot of people. If you’re looking for a Hilton property I think this is the only one in the area. It does the job.
