We stayed at this hotel due to its location close to the highway when visiting relatives in Tilburg. Business hotel, efficient but impersonal check-in. Room is of convenient size, everything works. Separate WC is a practical idea, except that it was planned extremely narrow - I could hardly move and get my pants back on, and I am by no means oversized! Very large sized bathroom with walk in shower. We also had dinner at the restaurant - (kreeftenbisque, ravioli kreeft, zeetong). The food is of good quality, the service is pleasant. - The breakfast buffet is in order. Thank you.

We stayed for three nights to attend Decibel Outdoor which was around 1.5 miles from the hotel. We've stayed in a Van Der Valk hotel before (Eindhoven) and were very impressed so decided to stay in the same chain again. It did not disappoint. We stayed in a comfort room. It was very big & felt quite luxurious. The bathroom had double doors that opened out into the bedroom which was a lovely touch. We also had a balcony. We ate in the restaurant the first night. The food was delicious & so were the cocktails. Breakfast was perfect. You couldn't ask for anything more with so much choice. The hotel also has a small self serve shop where you can buy drinks, snacks & toiletries. It's a little bit pricey but with no other shops in the local vicinity it's very handy. We used the pool on the first day. It's small but it wasn't busy and great for a cool down in the hot weather. My only reason for the 4 stars is the public transport link. The nearest bus stop is quite a walk from the hotel. A taxi from the train station on the first day cost €30 and considering this was a 3km journey I found that very expensive although this is not the hotels fault Would 100% stay here again. “Beautiful room (bridal suite) but terrible service”

I stayed in the bridal suite for one day and the room and ammentities were amazing! Bubble bathe, spa and steam room. When it comes to service, that’s another story. It started with my fireplace not working and then not having personnel available to refill it for some time since they were busy. Then it continued with my girlfriend and I finding a used condom package beneath our bed. We reported this as we questioned the hygiene of the room and had to wait at the restaurant while room service did another clean. We then had dinner at the restaurant and the service was terrible. It started with the manager just seating us and not explaining our 3- dinner voucher (since you could only select certain parts of the menu). My girlfriend had to call him to ask for an explanation. It continued with us always having to call waiters to clean up our tables in between meals although we left the dirty dishes at the end of the table to make it clear. Also there were no waiters tending to us for drinks. Instead each time we wanted a drink we had to find a waiter and ask them to take our order. Lastly, around 9:30pm which I assume was close to closing time while eating our meal some employees started vacuuming and mopping right next to our tables. When voicing this experience to an employee they said it could be that it was January 1st and no one wanted to work that day but given previous reviews I think this is not the first time persons experienced bad service at this restaurant. All in all, not the service we expected for a hotel that we thought would be luxurious. On top of that, there was a mistake with my room service costs and after calling to rectify this the employee forgot to discuss the matter with her manager resulting in me having to call back for an update and being told that they forgot me. Until now the matter is not resolved and the service via telephone is terrible. Personnel show no compassion or accountability and are not quite helpful. All in all beautiful accomdation but a lot of improvement needed in regards to service and hospitality of workers. I would however like to shout out the receptionist Kitty who was very kind to us the entire trip and offered us compensation drinks for the condom mishap!

“Not the right place for couples”

If you are a couple travelling without any children, you should know that this hotel is extremely family friendly. Great for families. Not so great for couples. Pretty busy, families with many children and not the right place for a quiet weekend.
