This stay was truly wonderful. TLDR, amazing place, great for kids. We traveled to Amsterdam with our 4 year old & 2 year old. We stayed in the family suite in the hotel. The whole experience was just absolutely lovely - the room was clean, had everything that we needed and nothing in excess - the beds were so comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and the jacuzzi bath was the best way to relax after walking 7-9 miles per day; the aesthetic was so nice. The spa was a nice complimentary feature - easy access to a sauna and steam room was so great. Though it was a bit small and could get busy, we could get into anything with a short few minute wait at most. And in particular, the hotel was so kid friendly - the staff was unbelievably kind & patient and had a great rapport with our kids. In particular, Margoux and Vasileios - played with our kids, brought them treats, coloring books, ran around & chased them, danced with them at the restaurant & bars - and really got to know them. Our kids would come into the hotel and go running to Margoux and Vasileios for a hug whenever they saw them. Lovely experience. The one small downside is that it is kind of outside of the city center - and sometimes it took a while (10-15 minutes) to get a bolt / uber to accept our ride; the metro is a short walk but cold for little kids / can be a hassle given no elevator for strollers. Outside of that, it was one of our favorite hotels ever. Would stay again.

“Best hotel of Amsterdam”

Best hotel in Amsterdam, beautiful decoration and best breakfast you can imagine, easy parking and acces to the centre

I really wanted to like this hotel, but the service is pretty terrible for what is supposed to be an upscale property. On check-in, we were left waiting for over 15 minutes while the front desk agents were milling about with absolutely no urgency while a line built up behind us. At the bar, we had to ask for our check 4 times and chase down both the waiter and bartender before getting it. We booked two connecting rooms and *neither* one of them had shower gel upon check-in, so we assumed they would be replaced by housekeeping the next day. Nope. So I went to the front desk to get one; the front desk said they would send it in ten minutes. 30 minutes later, and still nothing. I had to call again before it finally came. Now on check out date, I go to breakfast and come back, and housekeeping has already started flipping one of the rooms (and had locked the connecting door!), even though I hadn’t fully packed up the room yet. Luckily she was still there when I returned, or my daughter’s favorite stuffed animals would have been sent to lost and found. On the positive side, the rooms are spacious and the facilities are nice. The food in the restaurant is also pretty good. Just don’t expect anything resembling warm, friendly service while you’re here.

“Not as good as expected”

Good hotel lot to do. Only thing was that i eat gluten free, there where not a lot of options with breakfast. When i asked the staff if some things were gluten free they did not know. Also with check out nobody could help us.
