It’s a boutique hotel apparently. I don’t know what that means, I’ll admit. It’s small but it’s still part of a chain (Accor). It’s about six minutes walk from the main hotel. You check in at the main hotel, then directed to this which is basically an annexe. There’s no reception in the building and you’ll be lucky if you see any staff. For that reason it didn’t feel entirely - shall we say, safe? I’m sure it is, really. The location is residential, that area didn’t feel unsafe. I suppose it’s mainly that, although you have the keys to the outer door, it’s entirely possible that someone could sneak in after a guest with a key. The hotel itself is ok for a short stay, little room for hanging up your clothes. Bed comfy enough, bathroom was clean and shower quite good. The carpets in the main area were covered in seeds and leaves off the nearby trees. Difficult to keep them out I suppose. The nearest main road has quite a few restaurants and bars (though I don’t think I’d call it a tourist area) and it’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the main station. If we came back to Rotterdam, I think we’d find another hotel in a different part of town. Nothing much wrong with it, but I’d prefer to be nearer the tourist attractions.

It well located close to main train station and center. It is not expensive as well.

“Good for a short stay in Rotterdam”

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of Rotterdam. While there isn’t much happening in the immediate surroundings, the peaceful atmosphere is definitely a plus. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Our rooms were located in a separate building, about 300 meters from the main entrance. The rooms were quite dark, but they were clean and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine. Overall, it’s a good place to stay for a short visit of one or two nights.

This is a very comfortable clean hotel and the breakfast is very good, but the was really small with no usable desk, and the decor is so dark in the room and the bathroom that it was a really gloomy and claustrophobic experience. This is a very comfortable clean hotel and the breakfast is very good, but the was really small with no usable desk, and the decor is so dark in the room and the bathroom that it was a really gloomy and claustrophobic experience. I’m probably just not the target demographic for the design but everything is black and the lighting is muted (so much so that you can’t rent see your face in the bathroom mirror), so that you are really glad to get out of the room and into the fresh air after half an hour or so. There’s no actual wardrobe or drawers, just an open shelf and hangers, so more than a night is too much here and the split suite means that I was having breakfast in a building about 500m away from my room. I hadn’t expected this and was glad it was not raining when I visited!
