The hotel was in a great location, which is close to Erasmus university and not too far from public transport, as it allowed a day trip to explore Rotterdam. The room was modern with a nice bathroom and tv, room was clean and tidy. Also, food in the restaurant was good and tasty. In general, we had good stay at the hotel and at a reasonable price.

I stayed at Novotel Brainpark, Rotterdam in July 2025. It cost 197 euros for 2 nights at the hotel, for a family of four which was pretty reasonable. The parking cost 10 euros a day which was not bad. Breakfast for kids was free but adults cost 24 euros each. The hotel was in a great location, as it allowed for a day trip to Amsterdam and allowed us to also explore Rotterdam. The room was modern with a nice bathroom and tv. Our room was room 914 on the 9th floor. It offered a great view across the area. Our room was cleaned everyday, which was unexpected. My only complaints were the fact that the Sofa bed was really hard and the pillows kept falling off and also the fact that the bathroom door did not lock at all. But otherwise I had a great stay at the hotel and it was a pretty reasonable price for the stay. The wifi was also really good at the hotel. I would recommend eating at the university for breakfast as it is really cheap and has traditional Dutch food to eat. Overall it was a good stay at an affordable price in a great location.

Our experience at Novotel Brainpark Rotterdam was pretty disappointing. The bed/mattress and sheets were comfy, but the pillows were pretty useless…no support. Requests for better ones were simply given more of the same low quality. There was no room service — I was told they don’t have staff to provide it. When the restaurant was closed, the only options were crisps, sweets, and beer from the lobby shop. With no nearby restaurants or shops, this was especially inconvenient late in the evening. Breakfast was very limited, especially for vegetarians, and service was rushed. In the evening, we asked front desk and housekeeping for utensils that should be part of the room’s coffee cups but we were told to go down and get them ourselves because no staff could help and attend to it. This is unacceptable for a hotel in the hospitality industry. It seems some aspects of the hotel could do with improvement. The lobby entrance sensor is malfunctioning, the elevator is slow, and staff seemed indifferent (perhaps more training on hospitality being an international chain?). Our bathroom had a noticeable sewer smell and wear on the door. The room acoustics were poor (could hear loud banging from above room when we walked in). Even the lobby toilet was not properly maintained. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations for the cost. We were underwhelmed and surprised that this hotel carries the Novotel name.

We were searching for a buget hotel, and found Novotel. The staff was kind and the rooms spacious, but minimalist. There was no fridge. The bathroom was large, equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. The door had some scratches and it wouldn't close, though I was trying hard and pushing. The bed was a bit too soft, as you sank in it as soon as you lay down. The breakfast was solid, though the first day the pancake machine made undercooked (almost completely raw) pancakes. Also the metro station was nearby.
