“Highly recommend as a base to explore”

I stayed here for a couple of nights when I arrived in Auckland. I arrived by taxi approx $25 it was just after 3, the male checking me was very friendly & welcoming. My room was on 36th floor with a side view of the harbour & sky tower. The room was clean & spacious. It had a kitchen area with oven, microwave, dishwasher & 2 of everything (mugs plates bowls etc) there was a small milk in the fridge too. The bathroom was a good size with a washer/dryer too. Sofa area had a TV and patio doors opened but balcony was not possible to go on as very narrow. Bedroom was double bed, wardrobe, hair dryer etc. The room was clean, quiet but had a lived in feel - walls were patchy, needed a repaint etc but overall nothing bad to review on this place! Location was great for walks along the front, a great bakery Bredz round the corner and shops in walking distance. Highly recommend as a base to explore, there’s also a gym and pool but I didn’t use it.

“Disappointing”

I stayed here in 2019 and enjoyed my stay so thought I would book again on a return visit to Auckland. Unfortunately that was a mistake. I stayed here in 2019 and enjoyed my stay so thought I would book again on a return visit to Auckland. Unfortunately that was a mistake. The apartment I stayed in was in need of maintenance even though it was clean. The couch had clearly seen better days, light bulbs failed to work on the bedside light, and the curtain had partly come off its tracks in the bedroom. The curtaining generally let a lot of light in during the night as well and the dishwasher looked as though it was extremely well used. Not a happy expereince. Maintenance is badly needed.

“Easy place to stay, convenient for central Auckland and transport”

We spent two comfortable nights at the Auckland Harbour Suites. Everything went smoothly. The staff were helpful and friendly, and our double room was fine, with the very useful inclusion of a washing machine and drier, together with basic cooking facilities. The only issue in our room was the lack of a table and chairs which made eating food a little awkward. There was one easy chair but there were two of us ! The principal advantage of the hotel was the proximity to train, bus and ferry connections and to the harbour area and central Auckland. We would stay again if only for the convenience of the location.
